You are kidding me!
Is there something in the water over there?  At some point this stuff leaves being funny and enters into insanely sad.

Dumbfounded
I don't even know what to say.  Not living in Cincy any more, I am getting sick and tired of spending all of my Bengal discussions with other fans as a total defense of the team rather than talking about their actual talent, potential, and achievements.  Absolutely sick of it.

um yeah
just a weed charge. Not really a big deal

RE
Agreed. However, my buddy made a point about one thing. How does something like this effect the team? Did these arrests cause the "selfishness" that Palmer and Anderson spoke of? Do these issues cause a rift in the locker-room? Just things to munch on...

i appreciate the news post
so im not attacking u, really meant as a reply to above commenters who seem to think this is a huge deal.

Really the bengals arrests that have been serious are limited to Frostee Rucker, Henry, Thurman, and maybe any other DUI charges.

you're right that they add up, I just hope someone like joseph doesn't get tossed on the chopping block for what is a relatively minor infraction that probably 1/3 of the city indulges in anyways.

Depending on the amount of marijuana he had, this offense would just be a ticket in many parts of Ohio. Though I wonder if the City-wide-tough-on-marijuana law is still in effect?

RE
I'm actually 100% with you regarding the charges. And the point my buddy made didn't really cross my mind when I was defending JJ -- first time offender, no idea the circumstances... etc.

And yes, Hamilton County, is still has tough pot laws. So much so, they've imprisoned many that smoke and have the chronic, yet, are still not sure how to find more prison space so they've let out rapists and kidnappers.

The city/county leadership is horrible. Disastrous. If you what players do is embarrassing to the team, I'd HATE to hear everyone's opinion on what leadership is doing to the city.

man
someone should come in and talk to the bengals about just some general smarts concerning the law.

You are making big bucks you should not get busted like this! This and all those DUIs could have been prevented if they just called up some taxicab service.

I missed 8 days of school
and have a two page report for each day I missed, so, quickly doing the math.........................I come out at 16 pages.  I'm spending two of them on the Bengals' arrests, I think that'll get me two pages.

Just curious
You have to write a two-page report for each day you missed? Whats the report over? Just what you did/didn't do, etc.?

It is over current events in all of sports
Yep, one two-page report per day missed.  I'm doing one on the Bengals arrests, and the other seven are over, uh, yeah not sure yet.  Anyone got any good ideas?

RE:
Well, I don't know the scope of your reports, but general ideas:

1. Tank Johnson (the criminally insane)
2. New Orleans Saints (the feel good)
3. Steroids in sports (specifically, honoring Shawn Merriman but demonizing Mark McGwire, a generally good guy)
4. Coaches for hire (a personal favorite with coaches jumping ship like free agents)
5. The evolution from racism to multi-culturism in NASCAR.

Just a few.. you know.. off the top of my head.

Thanks
I'll probably run with the third and forth ideas.
