Marvin Lewis has already declared Bengals quarterback, Carson Palmer, out against the Pittsburgh Steelers. "We'll talk with Carson and see what he feels, but this would put him out for this game and put Ryan (Fitzpatrick) as our starting quarterback as we get ready for the Steelers."
Dr. David W. Altcheck, an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes with shoulders in sports, "recommended a further conservative approach for right now", Lewis said.
One would have to assume that once Palmer debriefs the team, and collective minds gather, the Bengals could be more then convinced to close Palmer's season, placing him on Injured Reserve, to eliminate any possible absence for the 2009 season.
