Back by bodacious demand: When Bears fans react to Cedric Benson, who-dey?
I found this, pretty hilarious reaction from a Bears fan following Beezy's cut from da' Bears this summer...
Bears will regret cutting Benson
The Chicago Bears offensive line was terrible in 2007. It was not Bears running back Cedric Benson's fault. Now Benson is slimmer and the offensive line is better, but the Bears cut Benson before he could get a fair chance to show off his skills. Don't believe me that the O-line was holding Benson back?

Oh....and here is Benson before the Bears offensive line started to suck:

if we re-sign Benson:
guaranteed Pro-Bowler (as long as we draft Michael Oher and Alex Mack, e.g., top OT and C with first two picks)
Who-Dey
agreed
With a decent line- and his head straight- Benson could really be a quality feature back.

Do you see the bengals resigning him next year, or him even wanting to stay in Cincy after this year?
I have reservations about building a running game around Benson.
From what I’ve heard, Benson’s two ‘run-ins with the law’ were bogus, but the Chancellor seems to count arrests, not convictions. If Benson does anything questionable again, I bet he would receive a lengthly suspension.
On top of that, I think that the Bears cut him due to his attitude. It sounds like that has changed, but if he gets a new contract, he could turn back into his old self.
There is a reason that a top 5 pick was available in the middle of the season. If Brownie had a better track record of picking up these ‘bargain’ type players, then I would trust his judgment
But he doesn’t.
Benson is a shortcut to making a good team. He is a fine stop-gap player for this season, but I don’t know if we sound make him the back of the future.
Also...
He’ll be in demand with a weak FA market, inflating his contract, likely knocking the Bengals out of the chance to score on him.

Remember when the Bengals rejuvenated Garrison Hearst's career?
That asshole left the next year to cash in.
I hope Benson’s “Off the Field Issues” scare other teams away from breaking the bank on him. If he shows some flashes of brilliance, the Bengals might want to try to sign him before the end of the season.
The elephant in the room, however, is Chris Perry – what does Mike Brown do with his sorry ass? I think he should go hang out with Tyrone Wheatley, Tshimanaga Biakabatuka, Leroy Hoard, and Anthony Thomas and get the hell out of Cincinnati.
