After receiving the kickoff at the one-yard line, Jones-Drew returns the ball the 17-yard line, nicely stopped by Mays.

Hanging pass by Garrard on a deep pass down the middle. JJ tracks the ball and slaps the pass away. Incomplete.

Empty backfield, Garrard hits Jones on the left, running about eight yards up and then squaring in. Defense sitting back, allows the reception tackling Jones a yard short of the first.

Jags lined up big, hand off to Jones Drew up the middle and picks up the first down. Powered up the middle.

Lined up on the left, defense zoned underneath (CB) while Williams was wide open. Pass behind him for incomplete.

how come the Jags arent running the ball?

In shotgun, Gerrard throws over the middle to Northcutt, who ran an in route. Fletch on coverage, tried to disrupt the route hitting the WR at the line. He still had position and caught the pass.

Bengal in position to knock a ball down. Does not make the play.

Beautiful. Did you guys see the CBs? They hit the WRs at the line of scrimmage. Geathers bull rushed the Tackle and Odom hit Garrard when passed.

Jags only rushed twice for three yards. Garrard passed seven times, completing four for 31 yards — to four different receivers .

In shotgun, Fitzpatrick takes the snap and immediately passes to T.J. running a slant route from the left inside WR spot.

im gonna try and watch the O-line today. didnt see a hole on the first rushing play.

First off, on the third down pass (shotgun), the Jags blitzed. The pass protection was good, picking up the blitz. FItz found a massive lane on the let and picked up 18 yards.

That should have been picked.

no more sideline passes from Fitz, puh-leeeeeese.

Fitz drops back, starts to scramble but drops off the pass to Benson, picking up five yards.

THe Stupid mistakes just KILL the Bengals.

Fitz sits in the pocket and finds T.J over the middle for 16 yards. Beauty!

In shotgun, Garrard pumps and is SACKED. Bengals blitzed two guys when the Bengals defensive secondary held the receivers to nothing! Robert Geathers gets the sack. Great coverage. Great effort.

After the ripping this organization has gotten this season, players want to step up and show some pride after being questioned last week that they quit. This is good to see. Rebound the second half, momentum for next season where they’ll go undefeated.

Let’s power up the middle. Show that we can get it. And if we don’t, go for it on fourth down.

Collins didn’t do well there. The end got outside position, forcing Benson to turn inside into about 2-3 Jag defenders.

Benson has to cut that up instead of stretching it out. He could have picked up the first down if he had cut inside vice outside.

Garrard in shotgun with Bengals blitzing. Garrard throws over the middle to M.Lewis and Marvin White knocks the ball from his hands with a hit — not powering, but enough. JJ also forced the incomlete.

Garrard looks to throw the ball deep down the right sidelines to Jones running a crossing pattern, and he throws the ball out of bounds. Eric Henderson was in Garrard’s face, knocking him down.

Bengals still lead 14-3, with 3:03 left in the half.

Time for a two minute drive for a TD!

Handoff to Watson on the draw. Picked up about a yard. Guy tackled him wasn’t blocked.

Fitz, in shotgun, hits Chatman on the left running an out pattern for short. Picked up about two yards.

Fitz, under center, shouts loudly. Bengals call time out. Prepare for punt.

Garrard in the endzone, rolls out to the left and picks up four yards running out of bounds.

Garrard hands off to Jones-Drew. Picks up about 5-6 yards. Pat Sims is a nasty DT! Running the clock out.

Bengals perform their most complete first half, with good pass protection, great wide receiver routes and sustaining drives with third down and short, converting most of them. The Bengals secondary is beating on the Jaguars receivers, while the Bengals defensive line is getting pressure on Garrard.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is quick on his decisions, throwing to his first option on a majority of his passing downs, and pulling the ball down when he sees a running lane. He’s completed passes to eight different receivers. Benson picked up towards the two minute warning with a 20-yard run up the middle. The Bengals have two rushing plays of 20 yards or more — Benson, Fitzpatrick.

Also the Bengals defense held the Jaguars offense below 100 yards total for the half. Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor combined for 31 yards rushing on 10 attempts. Garrard completed only six passes on 12 attempts for 53 yards — which includes a 16-yard screen pass.

Fitzpatrick: 16/19 for 100 yards passing, two touchdowns and 52 yards rushing on three carries (one draw, two scrambles).

Benson: 10 rushes, 46 yards rushing, one reception for five yards.

Watson: One rush, one yard.

Chad Johnson: four receptions, 26 yards receiving, 2 TDs

T.J. Houshmandzadeh: five receptions, 35 yards receiving.

Garrard: 6/12, 53 yards passing

Jones-Drew: seven rushes, 25 yards rushing, one reception for 16 yards

Taylor: three rushes, six yards rushing.

Lewis: 2 receptions, 11 yards

Jones: 1 reception, 9 yards
