He won't be our starter regularly, that's Ndukwe.

Crocker has served us well, except for that series of plays. Might be a good depth guy for us — as our depth REALLY lacks.

I reckoned that was the deal

Crocker was a test out player for the Fins. We have some other guys now that have been playing better coverage and tackling wise. He’s just there to fill a gap.

He shows he can hit hard though.

See why our offense is the worst offense in the league?

You know what would be nice for a game thread?

A double-pane. it’s annoying that we can only see four or finve of the most recent comments and there is so much wasted space to the right. So if the most recent posts were on the lower right pane and continued to the left pane once thjey’ve reached the top of the right pane, then we’have more visible at once. Anyone ever seen this on another site somewhere? I haven’t.

I know, Kirk, you have no control over that because of SB Nation, but it would be nice to see for game threads.

by Brian B on Nov 20, 2008 11:36 PM EST reply actions

A couple of things, now that I'm back.

1.) Adjustments. They should look into them. Tonight’s game looked just like most of them did last year, i.e. score on the first drive and not do anything else offensively until the fourth quarter.

2.) Fitzpatrick should be shot. I counted no less than five uncatchable (i.e. skipping the ball at someone’s feet) passes tonight.

by Craig Conrad on Nov 21, 2008 12:04 AM EST reply actions

Just thought I’d remind everyone that points are used to settle wildcard positions somewhere deep down on that chart. Stop complaining about running up the scoreboard.

This was a hard game to watch. For having half of your team out to injuries I thought the bengals did a pretty damn good job…

But our offense, like tonight and all season, just can’t come through. I realize the Steelers defense is great this season and all, but this has been the trend all season.

Did someone complain about running the score up?

If anything, we were all surprised that the Steelers didn’t score more.

by Brian B on Nov 23, 2008 6:02 PM EST up reply actions

Just looked back at some comments.

CincyMike mentioned that the Steelers like to run the score up. I don’t know where he gets that from. If the Steelers could run the score up, they would. But they have never had that kind of offense to blow someone out. So the comment was inappropriate.

If he had suggested the Steelers might go blow out some knees or break some jaws . . . now that would have been more appropriate.
