Andrew Whitworth and John Henderson receive the same punishment
Bengals guard Andrew Whitworth was fined $10,000 after the league decided that protecting oneself is worthy of monetary discipline. However, John Henderson, the guy that tried to rip out Whitworth's eyes, got the same exact thing, $10,000 fine and no suspension.
There's really not much to say than the obvious. Watching the level of fines, for some of the most trivial things, is getting way out of hand. How the league decided to punish both men for basically two differing positions (one gorging eyes, one hoping not to have eyes gorged) is beyond me.

on the field during game time is basically legal?
seriously, if someone had done this to tom brady or tony romo, they would be indefinitely suspended.
