Last week Marvin Lewis was nominated for the Motorola Coach of the Week award with Wade Phillips (beating the Giants) and Gary Kubiak (beating the Titans). Phillips won. This week, the Bengals have two player of the week nominations after their dominating 14-0 win over the Cleveland Browns in week 16.
Leon Hall is up for the GMC Sierra Defensive player of the Week award.
Other nominations include Tennessee Titans defensive end Jason Jones (3.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, five tackles), Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed (two interceptions), Washington Redskins defensive end Jason Taylor (two sacks and forced fumble) and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Josh Wilson (five tackles, a sack, three passes defensed and two interceptions).
Voting ends at 4:00pm this Thursday, so vote for Hall.
Other Bengals nominated is running back Cedric Benson nominated for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week. Benson recorded 171 yards rushing on 38 carries. Other nominations are Baltimore Ravens running back, Le'Ron McClain (139 yards rushing, 22 carries and a touchdown) and Giants running back, Derrick Ward (215 yards rushing on 15 carries and a 14.3 yards-per-attempt average).
Voting ends at 11 a.m. on Friday, so vote for Benson.
