2008 Draft

I see all the pundits are naming Sedrick ELlis or Glenn Doresy as the top defensive picks.  I'm thinking that they're all wrong and I think that Chris Long will be the first player taken.  I'm also seeing Jake Long as the second pick. (it will be pretty amazing to see the first 2 players taken in the draft having the same last name)

After that I see McFadden going 3rd followed by QB Ryan at number 4.

I'm also seeing players like Vernon Gholston falling out of the first round.  Maybe it's just me but I feel that Gholston is too small to be a DL prospect.

2008 Draft
The more I think about it, the more I can't see Belichick passing on Gholston. With Vrabel there to tutor, and Adalis Thomas as a sterling example of a hybrid DE/LB, it's almost too perfect. Personally, if we can't get him, I'll settle for either Derrick Harvey or Calais Campbell and I think we might get either one even with a trade down to 18-24 or so.

Re:
Interesting point but I think that Balt has to make a decision on QB for the future.  If they can keep McNair on for another year for backup it would be the right time to train the replacement.

Go point about trading down but I pulling for the fact that some of the players will slide down to the positions so that Cincy can simply pick them.

I really think that Cincy has to re-tool the defense and they have the right opportunities and picks this year to get it done.
