Good on ya, Dexter, though I can’t help wishing he was the Dexter Jackson out of Appalachian State. Which leads me to…

I mistrust those who take a very personal thing like religion and wear it, ala Kitna, on their ball cap. Honestly, Jesus doesn’t care one way or another if you play for the Bengals, Corey. Nor does he have a stake in whether any team wins or loses. Nice snag on the American christian royalty’s Princess but keep in mind, while her Grandpa was a great man and spiritual leader, her father is a bloviating zealot corrupted by politics. Just saying…

I would like to point out that I had, somewhere on these pages, recommended Simpson prior to the draft- though obviously with no idea of a second round slot for him. And, unlike some supposedly professionals covering the team who I won’t name here… Curnutte, oops, I was quick to embrace the selection and the player without having to be told about Pittsburgh’s interest. Or maybe I wasn’t. I can’t remember.

Yes; Keith Rivers + Pat Sims > Sedrick Ellis. It’s simple mathematics.

If they’re all as big as he is, I hope they had a Costco or a Sam’s Club to keep them in groceries. I’ve heard elsewhere that Pat lacks motivation but I think the tragedy- and the corresponding year off from balling, just served to sharpen and dial-in that motivation to play the game.

If Jerome Simpson is on a cloud, chances are he leaped there. ;)
