For the most part...

That’s a good list.

No way Chinedum sits. Marvin White probably starts out behind Dexter to start the season but ends up first team before too long. Lynch and Dex then become the back-ups. And where’s Eric Henderson(DE/LB?) and who the hell is Dan Howell? I see Rivers, Jones, and Brooks with Jeanty, Blackstock, and either Mayes or Johnson. Also, look for Brooks to possibly take over at middle if he shows a good grasp of Zimmer’s new D. Dhani Jones is solid but Brooks could and should be spectacular. Did I mention I don’t know who Howell is?

Also, for $7.5 mil, Andrews better be starting. Probably LG with Whitworth in the wings to take over from Willie when he inevitably falls- or Levi when he gets weird. Um, let’s see;

TJ starts out at #1, either Simpson or Gabriel at #2, the other sharing #3 with Caldwell. Chad is either elsewhere or sitting at home practicing dance moves for that next Reebok commercial that never comes. That leaves Holt, Maxwell, and Urrutia and I hope Mario comes correct.

STARTING LINE-UP

First off, I do believe that all the draft picks will make the team and play in some way shape or form. Some may play primarily on speacil teams at first, such as corey lynch. There are a couple things that I do hope happens before the team is cut to 53 players. I feel strongly that it would be a terrible move to cut jeremi johnson. He is a solid fullback and the only one we have with a decent amount of experience. Also, I dont think that
Reggie Kelly could take over this position successfully. He is a TE and should always only play this position because his versatility is limeted. He is going to be most effective this year when we can use him and Ben Utecht in a double tight end set. Furhermore, I can not emphasize enough the importance of the D-line playing well this year. I hope that Pat Sims shows some strides in camp that prove he can start along with Peko. Thornton is still a solid player but I feel that its time we just go young on the defensive side of the ball. The other position I feel we need to address is safety. I feel possibly that Marvin should give Ndukwe the chance to start along side Marvin White. Ndukwe was one of the biggest playmakes last yeat and has tremendous upside. I feel this way also because I felt that Dexter Jackson was very inconsistent until late last season when it didnt matter. Overall, I am confident that Zimmer will get the defense together and will be ranked in top 15 in the league this year. WHODEY, im out.

Good post

I agree that Jordan will make the team over Rowe. I think he has quite a bit of potential, especially learning from his brother.

I don’t know if Jeremi Johnson will make it. He always comes to camp overweight and ML might be getting sick of it. Coates has been taking reps at fullback.

WR: I don’t think Chad will be here.. Did I miss something about Purify? He’s still in the picture, right? I think he’s going to make the team. I think it will be TJ #1, Gabriel #2, Simpson or Caldwell #3, with backups Caldwell or Simpson, Purify, and Chatman. I put Gabriel #2 because I think we need to keep some vets around for a while.

I don’t see Ethan Kilmer anywhere? We have to keep Ethan.

I've got a cunning plan!

Picture this- a 2-5 defense:

Sims and Shirley
Geathers, Rivers, Jones, Brooks, Odom/Henderson
Hall, Ndukwe, White, Joseph

Okay, so I haven’t worked the kinks out yet- like where’s Peko or Thornton and can Odom actually drop back. So, the two hogs in the middle occupy the center and both guards, leaving their tackles and either tights or backs to deal with 2-3 of the listed backers. Add Ndukwe coming up to the mix and you have, what?

opps i always thought it was 52 but in that case i think Erin Henderson will make it and Dan Howell is a MLB rookie tryout and on the bengals website he is the only true MLB i think Ahmad will start outside so he wont have to play MLB
