Around SBN: Tom Brady possibly out for the season Bar-right-arrows

Wednesday morning links and notes -- Sherry's contract details

Big C writes that the Bengals sixth-round pick, Matt Sherry, signed a four-year deal worth $1.775 million -- with a $40,000 signing bonus. It was reported yesterday that Mario Urrutia signed a four-year minimum deal that's estimated around $1.720 million.

Rookies Corey Lynch and Angelo Craig are expected to be signed by the end of the week.

Carson Palmer is the third best quarterback in the league -- behind two quarterbacks that I'm sure you can figure out -- writes War Room scouts.

signing bonus discrepancy

The scout.com reported bonus of $40,000 has to be incorrect based on his draft position. Actually, even the Big C bonus (take difference of total contract and subtotal of min base salaries and it gives $55,000) seems a little low. Based on his draft slot and a 3% increase over last year, I’d expect him to get about $60,000 (last year’s #207 pick Prescott Burgess – Ravens received $57,000). On a related note, Chauncey Washington (picked 6 spots later) received a reported bonus of “roughly” $60,000.
