New England Patriots sign Deltha O'Neal
The New England Patriots team website reports that the Patriots have signed former Bengals cornerback, Deltha O'Neal on Monday. Terms were not disclosed.
O'Neal was a disappointing tale. After earning a Pro Bowl in 2005 with 10 interceptions, word got around the O'Neal wasn't really into football and belief stirred that he was pushing his dissatisfaction with the rookie (at the time) cornerback, Johnathan Joseph. When he didn't get a contract extension (aka, pay raise) after his Pro Bowl season, he became sour.
The last cornerback to sign with the Patriots after leaving Cincinnati (released, or free agent), was our old friend, Tory "toast" James.

Don't forget Artrell "I REALLY SUCK" Hawkins
He played for the Pats too after we cut his sorry ass.

Gang, looking for some intel on Deltha. After cutting Fernando Bryant, we were in need of a vet to fill out the CB roster; most of the remaining guys are pretty young.

Deltha
He still has some skills, MaPatsFan. He’ll probably perform fairly well for you. He wasn’t motivated hardly at all in Cincinnati since they didn’t redo his contract after going to the Pro Bowl in 2005.
