Rambling Stats: T.J. Houshmandzadeh struggling

Last season, Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, was on fire out of the gates. Houshmandzadeh scored a touchdown in eight-straight games to start 2007; and in nine of the first 10 games he scored. During the team's first five games in 2007, Houshmandzadeh recorded 47 receptions for 505 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.

However, including the first game this season, Houshmandzadeh has scored only three touchdowns in the past nine games; hasn't recorded a 100-yard game receiving in 12 straight and in six games, during that 12-game stretch, he's failed to record more than 50 yards receiving.

Don't tell me this!

As much as I hate the Bungels, TJ Whosyourmomma is my #1 receiver on my Fantasy team. Help!

I don't think it's fair

to talk of a streak that includes this year. We don’t know how T.J. is doing this year because; A) he didn’t play all preseason and B) no matter how good or bad you’re playing at wideout, you still need someone to get you the damn ball- preferably someone not on their back. I’d ay, if you look at our overall offensive stats for the last half of last year, you’d see a similar decline everywhere as Ds realized we weren’t a threat to run at all and backed off the line. And last year, Carson actually had time to throw.
