Only three DTs available today
Thornton

Probably see some DEs take some DT snaps.
Second straight week that Shirley was inactive… Sims being inactive is likely still his injury and perhaps, lack of preparation.

the D line will only become decent if our talented, young guys Sims and ’Don’t Call Me’, start stealing snaps from Thornton
Sims being inactive, I understand (it's injury)
But I question Shirley. We’re just really short handed. What’s the reasoning? Is it his impending court case? Is he not adjusting? Is he not doing “his job”? Is he in Marvin’s dog house?

great only 3 DTs against a running team
only 3 DT’s just like last week… when we let up countless 3rd and 1’s
we should have kept mike myers if we were going to have the rookies inactive
and what do we do in a dime situation?
FS White SS Ndukwe
4th CB ? Lynch? Hebert? please no
Linebackers will need to step up...

Cincinnati's performance was embarrassing on that drive.
What happened to an “aggressive Zimmer defense?” That was a bend, bend, bend, bend, screw up, and eventually break defensive series. You have a back-up QB who is known for throwing picks – force him to beat you! That “ten yard cushion” BS is as bad as Bratkowski’s play calling last weekend.

Hand off to White. Dhani Jones, Antwan Odom stuff the line of scrimmage around the point of attack preventing White from getting ANYTHING. Odom, GREAT!

PLAY ACTION! PLAY ACTION! PLAY ACTION!
Bob Bratkowski shows no situational awareness. I know it is windy, but a Play Action look in an obvious running situation would get the receiver WIDE OPEN giving Palmer an easy completion not requiring precision.
I hate Bob Bratkowski.

The Bengals only have themselves to blame for this loss.
Giving up that huge play at the end of the half when facing a vanilla offensive look was not worthy of a professional football team. That is why they will lose a ton of games this season.

Does the special teams coach really tell the kick returners to go find the first defender down the field and get tackled by him? It looks like they’re trying to get the least amount of yards possible.

This team has talent but,
There are no leaders. There is no accountability. There is no strategic game planning or management. Carson Palmer = Drew Bledsoe (a mild mannered, rocket armed, immobile QB who fails to inspire or lead his teammates). This game was winnable, but the Bengals broke down at every key moment. Hell, it should have been 7-7 at halftime except idiot Nduke misses a tackle. The frustrating thing is that neither the Ravens nor the Titans are as talented as the Bengals. Marvin Lewis has a lot of work to do.
"Ryan, Things in here don't react too well to bullets." - Marko Ramius
Talent?
On what basis do you think this team has talent. Please take the opportunity here – or even in a new post – and list the collective achievements of this team. What, exactly, has this team ever achieved? One playoff appearance in six years?
I am sick and tired of people saying that this is a talented team. “Talent” is consistent. Talent is executing. Talent is winning. Everything else is an excuse and an apology for losing.
I would be willing to bet that most of the players on this roster have little – if any – knowledge of what it takes to win in this league. There is no talent on this team as there is no team. There are only individuals. You need a coach to get individuals to play as a team.
Talent...
…doesn’t help much when you can’t execute.
