That was clearly an incomplete pass. You can tell Jeff Triplett had “Hochuli on the mind” on that play.

Webster is credited with a sack, and forced fumble with a quick slap of Palmer’s throwing arm in the middle of his throw. Reggie Kelly was “blocking” him.

That was a bad throw more than anything else. Hall was in good position though.

I still think that the Bengals rush defense is severely underrated, mainly because those big-plays inflate the stats.

Manning, in shotgun, throws to the right. Hits Smith running a slant and out route with Castille covering. Picks up good yards. Manning has all day to pass, man.

After illegal contact by the Castille, the Giants line up at the Ten yard line. Manning, on play-action, hits his FB and Leon Hall saves the touchdown with a low tackle.

How can that not cover that sack of crap?

That entire drive, the Bengals defense didn’t pressure Manning once, allowing him to sit back all day completing four of five passes for 39 yards — with two first down penalties, David Jones for pass interference and Simeon Castille for illegal contact.

The one incomplete was a dropped pass by Burress, with the nearest defender still in Cincinnati.

Perry gets the hand off, picks up three yards. Perry rushed off the right edge and tackled by Corey Webster, who did a nice job getting to the LOS and tackling Perry.

Pass to Chatman on the left, with T.J. making a really good block. First down.

Palmer hits Perry running a flair out of the backfield to the right. Picks up seven yards.

Palmer, in I-formation, hands off to Perry. NICE job. The new FB made a good block, and Whitworth made a good block too. Picks up the first down.

Palmer hits Chatman running down the left sidelines, and hooks the route. Then he out ran his coverage, started falling down and finishes with 25 yards. If he wasn’t falling down, he may have scored — at least picked up another 15 yards.

Palmer overthrows T.J. throwing into the endzone. Even though it’s incomplete, good. I’m glad they’re throwing deep.

1) Who makes the better second-half adjustments. We know that the Bengals tend to have difficulty making second-half adjustments.

Jacobs takes the handoff, and then Robert Geathers stops Jacobs before he gets to the line of scrimmage. Nice.

Manning, in shotgun, under pressure, nearly completes a long, long pass to Smith. Castille is called for illegal contact. Castille was BEATEN bad, and instead of giving up the TD, he’s called for a five-yard penalty. Bad performance, though smart move.

Not a good job by the Bengals offense in the third quarter. In 14 plays, the Bengals offense recorded nine yards (after several sacks) and three punts.
