Seems that CBS is pimping this game as one of their primaries — Bengals @ Giants have the largest coverage in that nation.

The Giants offensive line pushed the Bengals DL well back.

Made the contact on the FB and stuffed him at the LOS. No where for Jacobs to go, while Peko helped with a step on the guard, falling to the ground to clutter the ground.

I thought it was going to be a repeat of that 71 yard coffin corner punt from last week.

Are the only two guys to participate on tackles on the Giants first five plays. The rest was the Bengals front seven — a good sign.

Bengals go off-set I, with Palmer in play-action, scrambles to the left after pressure and is sacked.

Palmer makes the throw, while running backwards, to Reggie Kelly, for three yards. Shesh. Palmer is worried in the pocket. Worried bad.

Palmer throws a pass while in the middle of his drop back just getting rid of the ball immediately.

While Jones didn’t give up the sack, he broke down the pocket. Then Jones jumps.

Palmer in shotgun, Giants send seven. Palmer lets go of the football in a pass attempt. His arm wasn’t going forward, and they call a fumble. Bengals recover, Bengals offense sucks, Bengals punt.

That was clearly an incomplete pass. You can tell Jeff Triplett had “Hochuli on the mind” on that play.

Webster is credited with a sack, and forced fumble with a quick slap of Palmer’s throwing arm in the middle of his throw. Reggie Kelly was “blocking” him.

Rivers stuffed Jacobs at the line of scrimmage, allowing him only two yards.

Manning in shotgun with three WR on the left. Manning throws behind Toomer, incomplete. Leon Hall was MOLESTING Toomer. Three and out and the Giants punt.

That was a bad throw more than anything else. Hall was in good position though.

I still think that the Bengals rush defense is severely underrated, mainly because those big-plays inflate the stats.

Giants jumped, Ghiaciuc snaps. Off-sides (just once, I’d like the Bengals to air it out for a free play).

Chris Perry gets the hand off up the middle! Houshmandzadeh, great block. The back-side was wide open — the Giants D-line crashed hard to the strong side.

Handoff to Perry, picks up seven yards off the left. Reggie Kelly pushed the end inside and opened the hole into the second level.

Palmer in shotgun, with time in the pocket, throws to his right. Chatman running down the sidelines, hooked and picked up the first down on a seven yard pass.

Palmer, play action, to T.J. and incomplete. James Butler on T.J.’s back nearly at the instant that the pass was there. T.J. complains.

Handoff to Perry. Runs off the right edge and picks up a few.

Palmer, in shotgun, throws to Reggie Kelly. He lined up at the left TE spot, flared out only a yard forward. Kelly picks up a yard and the Bengals kick a field goal.

Bengals have the lead for the first time this year. Bengals score points in the first quarter for the first time this year.

The Bengals are only the second team to get into the Giants redzone.

On his first two carries, he picked up 19 on 12 yards, and 7 yards respectively.

Handoff to Jacobs, Power O to the right. Jeanty hit Jacobs, who didn’t go down immediately, but fell anyway. Picks up three.

Manning in playaction, no pressure on the QB, hits the TE (Kevin Boss) for 21 yards. Ndukwe covering. Manning has all freaking day.

Manning, in shotgun, throws to the right. Hits Smith running a slant and out route with Castille covering. Picks up good yards. Manning has all day to pass, man.

After illegal contact by the Castille, the Giants line up at the Ten yard line. Manning, on play-action, hits his FB and Leon Hall saves the touchdown with a low tackle.

How can that not cover that sack of crap?

Touchdown. Jacobs dives over the pile.

They should have punched it in before.

That entire drive, the Bengals defense didn’t pressure Manning once, allowing him to sit back all day completing four of five passes for 39 yards — with two first down penalties, David Jones for pass interference and Simeon Castille for illegal contact.

The one incomplete was a dropped pass by Burress, with the nearest defender still in Cincinnati.

Perry gets the hand off, picks up three yards. Perry rushed off the right edge and tackled by Corey Webster, who did a nice job getting to the LOS and tackling Perry.

Pass to Chatman on the left, with T.J. making a really good block. First down.

Palmer hits Perry running a flair out of the backfield to the right. Picks up seven yards.

Palmer, in I-formation, hands off to Perry. NICE job. The new FB made a good block, and Whitworth made a good block too. Picks up the first down.

Palmer, pumps the pass and then has the ball batted away at the LOS, incomplete.

Job by Carson and especially chatman

Palmer hits Chatman running down the left sidelines, and hooks the route. Then he out ran his coverage, started falling down and finishes with 25 yards. If he wasn’t falling down, he may have scored — at least picked up another 15 yards.

Palmer overthrows T.J. throwing into the endzone. Even though it’s incomplete, good. I’m glad they’re throwing deep.

Geathers, Dhani Jones were in position for limited gain.

Manning throws the ball into the end-zone, with Marvin White trying to lay the smack-down on Manning. Ball was thrown too early, incomplete.

Manning, in shotgun, hands off to Ward, BLOWED up. Peko forced the RB to go further inside into Odom.

Manning, in shotgun, throws a jump ball to Burress at the back of the endzone, and Burress couldn’t come down with it. Incomplete. David Jones, covering, wasn’t really a factor.

Palmer hands off to Perry, the POA was stuffed, Perry tried to stretch to the right and picked up two yards. Not much there.

Palmer drops back a mile, with the DT beating Andrew Whitworth (bad). Palmer tries to escape to the right, but the DT just tripped Palmer and he’s sacked.

Blown blocking by Levi Jones (again, his guy didn’t sack Palmer, but forced Palmer out of the pocket into the defense).

Reggie Kelly couldn’t hold off Corey Webster, who swatted the ball for a sack and fumble.

Now, Andrew Whitworth was a step too slow for the DT.

Palmer, in shotgun, split backfield with two WR on the left. Palmer hits Chatman on the left on a WR screen. Chatman turns inside and, well, it looks like if he went to the outside, along the sidelines, the blocking was there. Good nine yard pick up, makes third down manageable.

Bratkowski might have actually come up with a unique idea.

Bengals will get the ball back in the second half.

Notice Chad was blocking too.

Palmer, throwing against in his backdrop, hits T.J. running a crossing pattern. The Giants defense was in zone and T.J. picks up 26 yards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First down, after a sack. Who knew the Bengals O could do that?

Palmer hits T.J. over the middle of the field. The DB on T.J. fell down. Picked up 15 yards.

The Bengals rushed to the line while the Giants were subbing guys in and out. The Giants were all over the place, like 15 guys on the field. They’re called for off-sides.

Palmer, in shotgun, throws over the middle of the field for Chad Johnson. And he lost the ball — incomplete. Johnson had the ball, then dropped the ball at contact. Should have been caught. Giants DB just stripped the ball during Chad’s second step.

Palmer drops back and hits T.J. at the 16 and pick up next to nothing. Bengals call a timeout.

Palmer, in shotgun, completes it to Chad and Chad falls backwards out of bounds. The pass is a fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirst dooooooooooooooooown.

Palmer, in shotgun, with plenty of time, and the pass is dropped. Daniel Coats had position and the ball hit Coats in the chest. Should have been caught. Damn it.

Palmer, drops back and hits Chatman on a WR screen, picks up about seven yards and dives out of bounds.

Palmer is sacked. Kiwanifadsfl;kdja beats Jones off the edge and the Bengals will attempt the field goal.

I’ll give him this much. He may give WRs a 5-10 yard cushion, look completely cluster-effed on double moves, but he does hit people hard.

Palmer: 14/20 132 yards. If the game ends now, this is Palmer’s best performance of the season.

After the Bengals went three-and-out to start the game (with two sacks, and a forced fumble that was recovered by the Bengals), the offense has gone.

Along with his 59 yards receiving (5 receptions), Chatman has a 21-yard punt return, giving him 80 yards total.

Would make me feel real good.

After forcing the Giants to punt on their first two possessions (total of eight plays, for 27 yards), the Giants have gone:

Then end of half junk stats.

1) Who makes the better second-half adjustments. We know that the Bengals tend to have difficulty making second-half adjustments.

2) Bengals need to start finishing drives. As much as it’s nice having a 13-10 lead, the Bengals, if they finished their drives, could be up 21-10.

Palmer hands off to Perry, up the middle. Justin Tuck did some swim move over Stacy Andrews, crashed down the LOS, and tackled the forward-leaning Perry for three yards.

Quick hit to Chatman to the right, scampered to the right, the left, and then just ran up field for a good two yards.

Looks like our D has to step it up.

Palmer throws an incomplete for Chad Johnson. Johnson ran a lazy-ass slant route by letting the CB take position on the WR. Chad is awful today. Health is a major issue today, it seems.

Manning looks to go long on play-action, Burress was blown up down the field. Manning goes under to Jacobs for incomplete, thanks to Jeanty.

Jeanty, again, makes the hit and wraps around the LOS for three yard gain.

Good attitude by the young safety.

Geathers, nice to see pressure on the opposing team

Manning, in shotgun, throws over the middle of the field and Brandon Johnson slows the route to Boss. Incomplete. Geathers HITS Manning. Good. Good. He was unblocked and made the hit.

Now an 8 minute ball control drive ending in a TD.

Palmer, drops back, pumps, rolls out to the right and picks up eight yards before running out of bounds.

I like him moving a bit more.

Perry gets slowed around the line of scrimmage. That doesn’t stop him. He falls forward for the first down.

The Bengals O-line is really playing well for the Run game.

Palmer sacked. Giants brought seven, only six Bengals blockers were available. Free man drops Palmer.

Lucky. That number was at 2 before Palmer called the TO - and it was accepted.

Just when you think the Bengals are turning things around…

The Bengals are definitely more physical today.

Manning hands off to Ward, with a massive hold on the right. Giants lineman pulled from left guard to the right, sealing Dhani Jones inside for a 13 yard gain.

Play action, Manning all day long, throws to Burress running out to the right sidelines. Hall attempted to juggle the pass and force the incomplete. And it worked!

Bengals blitz two, and Manning was forced to dump off the pass to the WR (Hixon). Brandon Johnson blitzed, went unblocked and blew up Manning. Small two yard gain.

Way to hit Eli. Helmet to Helmet, that will be a fine. SHould have been a penalty.

Perry stuffed for a no-gain. Pulling guard and FB both take on the same linebacker, allowing Giants safety and other parameter players to make the stop.

Perry breaks the first tackle, but is brought down by the second defender back to the original line of scrimmage.

Palmer, in shotgun, throws over the middle of the field and hits T.J. for a GREAT 13-15 yard gain. Bengals blockers pick up the Giants blitz — they brought seven — all with a Bengals hat blocking them.

Palmer quick hits DeDe Dorsey to the right. The Giants were ready for it. Perhaps it’s time to let the play go for now — or use it as a trick.

Palmer hands off to Perry to the left. This is Perry’s fault. Madison (CB), beat Chatman forcing Perry to keep running towards the sidelines. He should have just cut upfield for some yards.

Palmer in shotgun, is sacked. Giants brought six, and Levi Jones is the one running after the guy that sacked Palmer.

Manning hands off to Jacobs, runs to the right and picks up about 10 yards. The Giants O-Line did a good job on the Bengals D.

Manning, play-action, completes to Hixon running up field and then hooking for 15 yards.

C’mon Defense.

Jacobs takes the handoff, and then Robert Geathers stops Jacobs before he gets to the line of scrimmage. Nice.

Manning, in shotgun, under pressure, nearly completes a long, long pass to Smith. Castille is called for illegal contact. Castille was BEATEN bad, and instead of giving up the TD, he’s called for a five-yard penalty. Bad performance, though smart move.

Manning hits Toomer on the left, quick pass, for around six yards.

Not a good job by the Bengals offense in the third quarter. In 14 plays, the Bengals offense recorded nine yards (after several sacks) and three punts.

The Bengals defense is still doing a good job, all in all.

The Giants ran 16 plays in the second half, for 61 yards (punt, FG, and drive still in progress)

Manning in shotgun, Bengals blitz a ton, hits Smith quickly. Smith turns the corner on along the right-sidelines, tip-toed the sidelines, and dove for the first down.

Manning, play-action, completes the pass to Bradshaw for five yards.

Manning in shotgun, pitches the ball to Bradshaw on the right. Brandon Johnson seals the edge and forces Bradshaw to eat the lost yardage. Ndukwe and Geathers were there.

Perry takes the hand off and… holy shit. We converted a third-and-one on a run.

Notice how TJ is being used as an extra blocker? This would set up a great playaction off that look.

Palmer hands off to Perry, stringing the run out off the right edge, aiming and recording the first down.

Perry hit in the backfield (by the guy that Levi Jones was blocking).

Giants have about 20 guys in the box. Palmer hits Chad running a seven yard out. He juggled the ball a bit, but got his feet in bounds.

Palmer, in shotgun, hits T.J. underneath and picks up the first down. Nice, nice, nice. Did you guys see how awesome that snap was?
