Shaun Alexander signing imminent -- but with whom?

Despite reports that Shaun Alexander plans on joining a team rather soon, no rumors or leaks have surfaced regarding which team is the front running to sign Alexander.

Chick Ludwig points to Alexander's comments, hinting that he could join the Bengals some time soon. Bering Sea Bengal (Bengals Nation Daily) supports signing Alexander, provided he's willing to accept a minimum contract. I agree with this assessment, if he signs a minimum deal.

Otherwise, I'm holding Marvin Lewis to his word that this team wants to keep healthy players going into the season, with a younger team. Both of which, doesn't apply to Alexander.

Here are the two-sided questions: What does the team lose signing him to a minimum deal? On the other hand, what does the team gain signing Alexander?
