Bengals and Ravens fans: Why your team will win?
The Ravens look awesome. In the past, Bengal's fans knew that if we took care of the ball we should win because Kyle Boler wasn't going to beat us. Joe Flacco is the real deal and now they can win passing the ball too. Palmer, Big Ben and Flacco all have two things in common, big and smart. Sorry Cleveland, Quinn ain't big and Anderson ain't smart.
I'm pleasantly surprised that we are starting to win games that we usually lose. Yes, it's early, but a win against the Ravens could really give the Bengals a real leg up in the division. With a win, the Bengals would be 3-0 in the AFC North and heading back to Cincy for 3 straight home games plus the bye week. So far, they have played just good enough to win. Arguably, they played better in the game they lost.
OK, the first quarter of the season is over. The Bengals are 3-1 this season. That's a good start in the NFL, especially since they've played like crap! All signs point to a less than spectacular game at the Ravens, but what if it all comes together?
Here's why the Bengals will win Sunday. They don't have to!
Going home for 3 straight plus the bye week at 3-2, that's more than okay for the Bengals. With this in mind, look for the Bengals to put up surprising numbers against an aging Ravens defense. On the other side of the ball, this is the chance for our up and coming defense to jump up on the pedestal with the Steelers and Ravens. They're gonna unleash a blitz package that will make Flacco's head spin.
Last week was a trap game for the Bengals, but the wriggled out of it. The Ravens defense is about to be exposed for the old men they are. There's some new sherrifs in town and it's our time to step up and take the badge!

Good observations.
I sadly agree Flacco is the real deal. Damn. I thought last year was a fluke. It wasn’t. Damn. Agree, the Bengals don’t HAVE to win today, which does change things … they can play looser, take more risks, etc. If they do win, as you point out, the schedule becomes quite friendly. To me the wildcard is coach Zimmer’s situation. Such devastating events usually result in teams playing to one extreme, or the other. Which will it be?

A loss
Motivation is one thing. Expecting to beat a team that is better on both sides of the ball is another and that just won’t happen today. Stay healthy, but limp out of our stadium at 3-2 and be happy at that. We’ll continue to be a pissed off 4-1 team after today.
Condolences to Zimmer and his family and your loyal players. He will be missed. Peace and good luck, after today.
(PS- Thanks for taking care of Pittsburgh)

Well, now you lost ...
to the Bengals, and Mr. Palmer. So much for being that “pissed off 4-1 team after today,” huh?

Have fun gloating.
You will have your head back in your Orange and Black paper bag after Houstoun finally exposes your 4-1 record is a fluke. My Prediction Houston 38 Bungles-10

The better team won, period!
Sometimes fans take on the same personality as the team they root for. With the following statement:
Motivation is one thing. Expecting to beat a team that is better on both sides of the ball is another and that just won’t happen today. Stay healthy, but limp out of our stadium at 3-2 and be happy at that. We’ll continue to be a pissed off 4-1 team after today.
Bruce R. had the same beliefs as the Ravens, " It’s the Bengals, all we have to do is show up."
Well Ravens, this is the NFL.
I sincerely hate to gloat, but my predictions were right on!

Great game….on your part. i can’t understand how you only had 10 point with 32 seconds left. with 400+ yards it could have been 30-13.

That's usually the opposing team...
The Bengals were out gained by the Steelers and Packers I think. The 400+ yards and lack of scoring clearly points to trouble in the red zone.

This time we moved the ball
pretty well, but didn’t score enough points. The points will come in due time. Just like the yards did today. One foot in front of the other. POINTS WILL COME!!!!!

Agreed
The Bengals really took it to em’ in the first half. They showed some serious confidence the whole game.
Big time props to the o-line…Brian Leonard….and of course Cedric Benson
