Tight ends
We are possibly the worst in the league in the tight end spot. We need to trade for a tight end or teach Coffman how to block so he can play.
Our tight ends are miserably bad. So bad that every time they catch a ball that hits them in the chest I get a bit of a relieved feeling. I know they have other purposes on the field but look at tight end production on undefeated teams: Vikings (5TDs), Saints (200 yards, 3TDs), Colts (441 yards, 2TDs), Broncos (2 TEs, 250 yards, 1TD).
Our two TEs total 150 yards, 2 lost fumbles, and numerous dropped passes (I don't have stats for this, I'm just guessing we have the most TE drops in the league). Embarrassing. Figure out the position if you want to be an elite team. Trade for Kellen Winslow or Chris Cooley or John Carlson. Winslow is elite and will make us one of the most feared red-zone teams in the league after Indy and New Orleans.
Now defensive line is a worry too. We're going to draft one in the upcoming draft but we have until Tuesday to pull of a trade for one of Green Bay's defensive linemen or some other elite DLer on a terrible team. If we don't we might as well count ourselves out for the Super Bowl starting now.

Winslow may be elite but a spoiled brat
Another “me first” guy. Stay away from Winslow.

Cooley already ripped us for having a hard knocks show so idk how that would work.I don’t think our organization would like him to much..Winslow is another distraction..Zack Miller may be out best option especially with the trades al Davis makes we can practically steal great players at low cost

bad timing
zack miller would be great, but i think jamarcus russell’s win yesterday will keep miller in oakland.

"Me first" guys
Look at what happened with Moss in NE. “Me first” guys can work out for the team. As long as the team is winning, they usually stay happy.
Also, Andre Johnson is unbelievable. What I saw on the field yesterday convinced me he’s the best receiver in the league and by a wide margin (even over Moss and Fitzgerald).

how can you say that...
in a season that has seen owens, edwards, cutler all traded or let go? granted they all wanted out, but seriously, we can get any player we want if we are willing to give enough. those players are worth a 1st rd pick and we’d probably get them for that especially given how stacked the draft is next year. we are just unwilling to make any sort of move that will cost Mike Brown a dime.
how many more points do we have this year if we have an elite tight end? not just from TDs, but from helping move the ball and open up the passing game too. I’m guessing the number is in the 20s or 30s.

I don't think
The bucs are going to trade winslow considering they just got him and gave him a new contract.

Fasano
It was rumored that the Bengals were going to pick him in round 2 when he came out but the Cowboys took him and the Bengals being the real creative team that they are decided against trading up and settled for Irons. When Tuna left to go to Miami last year the Dolphins traded a 4th round pick for him.I thought at the time if they Bengals) really liked this guy in round two would his stock drop that much in two years that he wouldn’t be worth a mid round pick. He’s starting for the Dolphins now. He’s a blocking TE with decent hands.I don’t think they would be in the market to move him.

This isn't baseball.
Outside of the Raiders, losing teams aren’t going to dump all of their salvagable parts for prospects. Why would a rebuilding team want to trade anyone decent under the age of 30? If the Bengals procure another TE mid-season, I see us getting a backup who can block first and catch second. If it’s a receiveing TE you want, encourage the front office to try out the guy they drafted.
