Man..
I think half of our inactive players could be starters/see significant pt.
What a wasted pick on Jerome Simpson
He's garbage, so, if that's Ron Dugans..
I mean, what is it with this team and WR picks? I guess they’re usually tough to pick out of the college ranks, but Warrick, Dugans, Simpson…
anyone else wish Big Man Shirley was still on our D-line??

I'm personally partial to Antwan Odom on the d-line.
Time to roid up Michael Johnson +30 pounds to replace Odom.
Also, I want to see 10-sack-man Geathers come out of his shell. What happened to him!
right..
I think our starters are better than Shirley, but we could use a little more depth for the rotation.
Geathers has been better this year but he needs to get back to being a beast.

Remember, Jones missed four games with an injury. He returned against the Ravens and played some against the Texans.

Let us hope they do better than when they had the ball on the 1-yard line and a first down. I can’t believe they didn’t just pounded it three times – you’ve a nasty offensive line and one of the best backs in football. Keep it simple.

Very impressive opening drive.
Let’s hope Brat remains creative, even though I didn’t like the 2nd and 7 handoff – PA would have been clutch.
But the play action to open the game and strong execution by Benson on most other plays was solid.
I just hope we don’t see a typical fizzle here. The first drive is scripted, so hopefully Brat saw something he can continue to exploit. Like “no one can cover slim”
Eight plays, 77 yards and a TD
Benson, four rushes for 32 yards.

False Start...
you go PBS crowd!
"Ryan, Things in here don't react too well to bullets." - Marko Ramius
Here come the Bears. Cutler lines up under center with the I back.
False start? I think so. 1st and 15 from the 24.
Hester starting for the Bears is scary.
I formation, two wide.
Handoff to Forte for 4 yards. 2nd and 11.
It's good to see Peko in there.
"Ryan, Things in here don't react too well to bullets." - Marko Ramius
2nd and 11 from the 28 -
Announcer can’t pronounce Maualuga. Empty backfield for Cutler, plenty of time and a dump-off to Olsen (good tackling!) for a few yards. 3rd and 7 or so from the 31.
Third and Long
Dhani tackled Olsen immediately after the catch.
"Ryan, Things in here don't react too well to bullets." - Marko Ramius
3rd and 6-7 - another false start?
What’s the call? Geathers may have jumped…
And it’s offsides. 3rd and short. Was it a good call?
Damn, the penalty was costly.
"Ryan, Things in here don't react too well to bullets." - Marko Ramius
1st and 10 from the 40 (bad job Geathers.)
Forte and McKie in the backfield, Hester split out.
Forte for 6.
Bears seem content to grind away.
Probably smart given our lack of D-Line depth.
Forte alone. 2 wide, 2 TE. Cutler under center with 2 on the playclock.
Dumps off to Hester for 8 and a first down to the Bengals 48.
2nd and 10 from the 48.
Off-set I, receivers up top. Play action screen is blown up by DHANI! Loss of 3 or so!
DHani had good reaction on that tackle to blow up the screen
he looks alot faster than last week.
"Ryan, Things in here don't react too well to bullets." - Marko Ramius
3rd and long now from the Bears' 48.
They need the Bengals 38 for the first.
Shotgun, 2 RB 3 WR. Knox in.
Cutler tkes it and looks left, fires to the dump off man Olsen, well short of the first down. Great coverage – pressure wasn’t there.
YES!
Bears forced to punt. Nice coverage downfield on that play.

I don't think every drive will be 4 minutes from the offense. Benson will get plenty of carries to grind it out on the Bears D. Remember, Tommie Harris isn't playing. Their D is banged up too.
Defense seems pretty amped right now.
Tank Johnson looks good too. Dhani is charged and Maualuga is hitting people too. This defense looks like they want to punish people right now.

Bears run 9 plays including the punt.
Cutler goes 4/4 for 15 yards, Forte has 4 rushes for 11. Bears are averaging only 3.25 yards per play on that drive, but eat 5:44.
Bears run 9 plays including the punt.
Cutler goes 4/4 for 15 yards, Forte has 4 rushes for 11. Bears are averaging only 3.25 yards per play on that drive, but eat 5:44.
Chad is confident.
Ocho lined up wide right. Overloaded right side of the line with Benson running that way. Breaks a tackle and takes it out to the 38!
1st and 10 from the 38, two FB and Cedric. 2 wide.
Carson hands off to Benson, who takes it for 4 yards on the right side. He just won’t go down.
Bears are respecting the deep ball and aren't stacking the box.
Brat is taking advantage. Cedric has 6 carries for 57 yards.
Carson from the Shotgun - finds Chad for 4 yards and a first down.
Carson is throwing well running right.
First and 10, I formation from the Bengals' 49.
Play action to Benson, finds Ocho Cinco for reception #3 for .. a lot of yards. Another first down.

I like this new mobile-version of Palmer.

1st and goal, chad is 6/7 for 77 yards and the TD.
Big left side of the line, one wide up top. Benson in the backfield and the pass is batted down at the line.

I've been thinking this all year...
if our Offense would return to the 05/06 form, the Bengals are an elite team.

Bears take the field for just the third time down 21.
One-dimensional? Yes. Cutler to throw, dumps off incomplete as Cutler gets hit.
2nd and 10, Cutler shotgun, 3 WR.
Cutler pressured by Rucker up the middle and skips it to Knox. 3rd and 10.
3rd and 10, shotgun with 2 RB and 3 WR.
Hester alone up top. And the blitz comes, but is picked up. Earl Bennet picks up 10.5 for the first.
That was a horrible spot. He was down before the yellow line.
"Ryan, Things in here don't react too well to bullets." - Marko Ramius
2nd and 8, no huddle again.
Shotgun and it looks like another neutral zone infraction unless they were drawn off.
That has to be a false start.
"Ryan, Things in here don't react too well to bullets." - Marko Ramius
Isn't obama a bears fan?
now he for sure knows the bengals are for real hahaha
2nd and 3 now, Cutler in shotgun.
Cutler finds Hester, who fumbled, but he was down I think.
We’ll see a red flag.
Nah
Lovie has even less balls than Marvin

You wanted a "measuring stick," Bungles faithful?
How about the one we just stuck & twisted in the Vikings pointy little domes?
We haven’t played anyone good yet? Funny, we put away a Vikings team you couldn’t, and allowed the leagues best rusher HALF the yards you allowed him. And showed we could play defense (novel concept, huh?).
No help from us today, especially when all you’re doing is keeping our seat warm.
I won’t be sitting on this thread, nor will I be checking back later, so save your paranoid-laced comebacks and whatever else you want to throw at me, I’m watching football. Just popped in to say “Growl, growl” little kitties.

Jeremi Johnson picks up the third down as Carson Dumps off.
Another Bear looks to be injured? Nope. Another handoff to Benson, who can’t break Briggs’ tackle out to the 49.
Steelers Trolls. Already?
We haven’t even played the vikes this year yet
by Danimal, Destroyer of Worlds on Oct 25, 2009 5:12 PM EDT reply actions
Benson stopped for no gain. 2nd and 10 from the 40, 3 wide and 2 RB.
Carson changes the play on the line. Handoff Benson for no yards.
Carson changing to running plays never works.
I'm usually respectful on most teams' blogs
But Steeler fans piss me off too much. I’m tempted to get banned from BTSC just for fun

i know this is a big game for benson but
we need to get B.scott some game experience?
3rd and 10, let's get some yards.
Carson shotgun, has time, throws complete to Chad for his 8th catch and 100th yard.
Chad is so on his game this year.
First and 10 from the 25, handoff Benson, flag down – probably coming back.
YES! No foul. Benson tearing it up.

Wow.
Nearly 100 yard rusher. Over 100 yards for a receiver. Three touchdowns for a QB.
These are numbers for a good game by a team… much less a first half. No let down!

LOL! I was writing the 2nd half thread... guess I'll have to change these numbers:
Here’s a look at some stats (why, oh why did I bench Carson???)
Palmer: 14/16 for 176 yards and 4 TDs (to 4 receivers). 11 YPA. Great success.
Cedric: 18 rushes, 99 yards, 5.5 YPC.
Ocho: 8 receptions, 103 yards, 12.9 YPC and a TD.
Bears:
i benched carson too and chad for knox and welker
