Bye Week Injuries?
A couple players were taken out of the game yesterday with injuries. Off the top of my head I can recall Jeremi Johnson and Bernard Scott being dinged up. I'm really concerned about the Jeremi Johnson injury. He has been one of the reasons the running game has been so effective this year. We really need him for our next two divisional games. Does anyone know how serious these injuries are?
Hopefully the bye week will allow players like Roy Williams, Jeremi Johnson, Pat Sims, Peko, and Bernard Scott to heal up. I understand that Peko and Sims both saw time yesterday, but it was limited due to injuries. It would be great if we could get all these guys back to 100% or close to it. So here's to a FULL RECOVERY and being healthy for the 2 most important games of the year!

I agree losing JJ would be very bad
I feel he has been underappreciated and he hasbeen a big contributer to Palmer having time and Benson’s running lanes being wide. I posted about this after the Baltimore game. I saw three replays of that game and he was playing like a man possessed. There were several instances of him taking Ray Lewis out of the play. He also didn’t play as much against Houston-I’m not sure why.

i think Roy Williams is sorely missed and we need him against these teams with good running games.
he would have helped a ton in that Houston game.

im not sure if this Roy Williams injury isnt career threatening
He hurt his forearm in Dallas in week 3. Came back week 11, hurt it again. Went on IR.
Now this season he has hurt it twice. Forearms are very hard to heal when you use your arms to hit people and wrap up tacklers. Look at Bills LB Paul Posluzny, he has broken his forearm in the same spot twice now in his 3 year career. These injuries will always pop up.

Don't they make forearm pads any more?
I wore them when I played in the 90s, but you don’t see them that much in the pros. I think that would cut down on some of the impact but he never wears anything.

I’ve heard that the arm pads are against the dress code in the no fun league. When I played in high school I used Johnson and Johnson or "J Pads" and used my arm as a lever. Those poor pulling gards always ended up behind me on the ground. I just cannot understand why the D-line not all have arm pads.

It's probably because they used to put stuff in them back in the good ol' days
That makes sense I guess because in all the old game films you see guys with huge pads on their forearms smashing people in the face and close lining quarterbacks. Forearm injuries seem so common now you’d think they would allow the pads back in.

Now where did that bottle of ether get to?
Roy didn’t reinjure his forearm because it probably didn’t heal the first time. He either will play with pain for the rest of the season or he’s done.

It's the risk we took
We knew Roy had gone through surgery to repair his broken forearm last year. I don’t know to what extent we got assured his forearm was healed and ready to go, but apparently it wasn’t, and this could sit him out for a long time if he keeps bruising it.

Roy Williams Injury
My understanding is, it is the arm that was not previously broken.
