Mo knocked off Roy the Hitman in the Oklahoma Drill....will he knock him off the roster, too?
I'm starting to get the feeling that our Roy Williams experiment has been exhausted, and that his roster spot presents an opening for Mo Purify.
(Geoff Hobson has certainly hinted at the possibility of it this week. As has Ludwig.)
How much has Roy given us? Through the 6-2 start, I believe he's only played in a mere 3 games. Is it time to pull the plug on the former ProBowler? That's debatable for now. I believe a roster move would need to be made today by 4pm.
Should we keep Roy around? Or should he be waived to make room for Mo? OR Does someone else get waived for Mo P? OR does Mo not get moved up, and i wasted everyone's time that bothered to click on this Fanpost????
(i'm sure i know FirstPick's answer)

I think the Bengals got played a little with the forearm injury factor. Roy and his agent probably assured the Bengals that his arm was 100% fine, and who could’ve argued, it was probably fine when they tried him out. The problem is that his injury was much more serious than Mr. Fantastic Brown anticipated.
Roy is one of the best safeties to come around in years, so if his injury will eventually heal completely, and this time I mean completely, then we have a premier safety for years to come. The Bengals have to make a gamble on this one and decide if he’ll eventually come around and be 100% healthy.

To IR
There’s a chance that they could put Roy on IR. He’s not healthy yet and had a set back on Thursday. We’ll see. I agree, when he’s in, he makes our defense better. Just hopefully he recovers.

Can somebody explain to me what they mean by a forearm injury? Is it a muscle thing? Is it a tendon thing? Is it a forearm fracture thing? I’d love to see Roy on the field, but this injury, whatever it is, seems to be chronic.

Could be wrong

Broken forearm with the Cowboys last year. It still lingers.

Williams participated in practice on Wednesday.
Missed it yesterday. He won’t be released, but he may be IR’d.

I would have prefered to ditch “rock hands” — great nickname BTW — but oh well.
