How Sweep It Is: Bengals Beat the Steelers

Guess what, Steelers? You thought you were going to win the game. But you didn’t. You diiiiidn’t!!! Oh yeah! The Cincinnati Bengals, folks, are, believe it or not, in first place of the AFC North, swept BOTH the Ravens and the Steelers – that’s the first time EVER – and are practically guaranteed a playoff spot AND are in the driver’s seat for the AFC North. We’re 5-0 in AFC North, and unless the Browns somehow convince Jim Brown to come out of retirement and find the fountain of youth, we’ll be 6-0 in our division. We’ve got three games against cupcakes next: Raiders, Browns, and the Lions. I am slightly nervous that there’s a trap game in there somewhere, but I think we’re a mature team who can beat them. We’ll see what happens. Anyway, here are my accolades for the game:

kinda nice to have a bye, beat two teams and then have three more byes in a row.

just kidding, don’t want to put the wammy jinx on a trap game. I do think we will see Andre Smith now that the competition is weaker. and in the words of Marvin Lewis “and that’s a good thing.” anybody besides me starting to think Huber’s holds might have been a factor in that horrible special teams start. I just think it might be a little more aquard for a lefty to hold from the right side than it you might think. I get it that they want consistancy at that position, and they see him being here for a long tiime but I am afraid they are raming a square peg in a round hole. it might be knit picking but my inner Bengals fan worries about a playoff loss due to something stupid like that. big win! who dey!

There will be no trap games

Our defense has arrived, this isn’t 2005 we have now allowed 29 points in our last three games against so called great offenses. I guarantee we will shutout one of the next three opponents and finish this season at least 12-4.

and while you are over there..

ask them if they would have traded in their 6, six, SIX super bowl trophies for the 6, six, SIX points they needed to at least tie us.

are you kidding me?

would you? Stupid question. We’ll see ya’ll bungles in the playoffs. Be ready. Oh and I wouldn’t be burning terrible towels just yet. ;)

Bring a towel to the game. Black or gold or yellow. If you don't have one buy one, If you can't buy one, dye one!!!
