"It's scary. Everybody is going to be patting us on the back now, telling us we're great," Palmer said about the Bengals upcoming schedule. "We're not good enough to win the Super Bowl right now. We're not good enough to make a dominant playoff run. We have a long way to go. We can't start thinking about stuff like that.
"We're going to be playing teams that have won two, three, four games, and we're going to go into games expecting to win but we still have to play the same way we played today."

what was scary..
was the lack of accuracy Carson showed throwing the ball today. I don’t think I have seen him throw that many balls to a receiver’s back shoulder in a long time. He played well enough to win and he is saying the right things though, WHO DEY!

....
I would say playing the Steelers, in Heinz Field, with them trying to avoid a series sweep, while fighting to be atop the division is one of the most hostile enviornments a Bengals quarterback can be in. I think he was a tad nervous. He played like an MVP in my opinion.

I agree he played well. He managed the game well and did everything he was asked to bring us out on top today. When you play pittsburgh you want those balls placed perfectly, I think the steelers D dropped as many INT’s as J. Joseph.. He was obviously flustered or something, he missed a wide open Caldwell running by himself into the end zone, a few of the balls he threw to Chad were just awful, he threw it wayy behind Coles and right through the hands of the defender covering him.. after the way Carson has been placing balls with pin point accuracy all year, just a little frustrating watching him miss targets. Good enough to win!

he was throwing the ball too hard
maybe with the plays the Pit. DBs were making on the ball early, he was afraid of getting picked.

Well… on the other hand, throwing the ball to the back shoulder is a great play sometimes… IF the receiver expects it and the defense doesn’t.
So maybe it was more a matter of our boys not being fully in sync?

wise words Carson
convey that to the team and you’ll be ok.

To me.
That’s leadership.
See guys. Benson is out. And the Palmer led Bengals lead the team to a win. How is my midseason MVP selection looking now? ;-)

I remember when we drafted Carson..
it was like x-mas. I am very glad we have such a good QB, imagine if we had someone back there who didn’t have a golden arm and couldn’t read defenses.. oh wait.. Fitzy last year. God I love Carson..
