This Guy Sucks!! Get Him Outta Here!!!

I don't know about you guys, but I can't stand this Chick Ludwig guy...  His Cincinnati Enquirer Bengals blogs are absolutely terrible.  The guy makes me sick.  Here's his most recent blog about the 7-2 Bengals.

SOME THANKS & SPANKS

ARE ON TODAY’S MENU

===“Typing Away With Chick Ludwig” alert: This next game is my upset special. I wrote it a while back and I’m sticking to my guns — Oakland Raiders 24, Cincinnati Bengals 23. The Bengals don’t play well on the Left Coast. They’re due for a big letdown after a huge win in Pittsburgh. And John Facenda — “The Voice of God” — tells me, “The Autumn Wind is a Raider.”===

Child Please Chick!!

They’re bad, but they’re not as bad as Geoff Hobson. Someone needs to get that moron a copy of Hooked on Phonics, stat. Cincy Jungle is the only Bengals site I’ve found that isn’t mind-numbingly bad.

if i saw Hobson in public

i’d tell him to give up the writing part of running that site. hire another writer. someone with a writing background. someone who doesn’t pick a theme and repeat it over and over throughout the entire article. and someone who doesn’t refer to chad as “The Ocho”. god i want to beat him up.

I have to admit that he has a point, though. The Bengals always play bad on the west coast, and they’ve been playing to the level of their opponent all season (except the Chicago and Houston games). Upcoming games at Oakland and San Diego worry me. Oakland less so, as I can’t imagine the Raider offense moving the chains against the Bengal defense, but if it comes down to a kicker battle things could get shaky…

These aren't the 2005-08 Bengals

We have a top ten defense now. And for fucksake this is the Raiders, have they scored 24 this year in a game? We’re 4-0 on the road so there is nothing that makes me think we can’t SHUTOUT these pussies. As for our offense as long as Benson is healthy we should march up and down the field.

The only reason we even have losses this year is because of a fluke play and two fumbles in the other game. It will take a miracle for the Raiders to beat us. And i’m talking as an objective sports fan not just a Bengals homer, which I am.

If they start Gradkowski they have a better chance though. I’d say it will be something like 24-10ish

I can't stand Gradkowski

Ever since that turd-burglar got a roughing call against Justin Smith in 2006…while he STILL HAD THE BALL…I’ve had a personal vendetta against him. I hope he starts, and we have a Geathers/Fanene sandwich with Gradkowski as the thin slice of ham in between.

It may sound nuts, but I’ve been most nervous this year against the teams we’re supposed to beat. I think we’ll come out on top in Oakland, but the game does make me a bit nervous. Hopefully it’s the late game so we’re not playing at 10 AM EST.

under ordinary circumstances, i’d be concerned about this being a letdown game; however, jamarcus russell threw 9-24 for 67 yards last week, and that wasn’t an aberration. i’d look to cleveland to be the letdown game, if anything.

Did you watch the MNF game tonight?

If Quinn is still starting for the Browns we’ll destroy them. He turns their offense into the worst in the league.

he’s still played only against stellar defenses this season, so you really can’t make that determination yet. i guess that does mean he’d suck against us, but they really need to play the man if they actually want to see what he can do.

Russell probably won’t get the chance to ruin the game for Oakland. Gradkowski will start if there’s a single brain cell left in the Oakland Raider organization.

by indesignkat on Nov 17, 2009 12:24 AM EST up reply actions

Don't count on it

Russell has been pulled before and got the job right back. He’s their main man in Oakland.

by St. Esiason on Nov 17, 2009 12:27 AM EST up reply actions

well that was a very big “if”

by indesignkat on Nov 17, 2009 2:00 AM EST up reply actions

In case Gradkowski starts

It could indeed be a similiar situation to the Browns game, because he can actually hit receivers like Derek Anderson did against us. Quinn and Russell are very close in their ability to destroy the offense.

by “their,” i’m sure you meant “al davis’”.

Chuck "Chick" Ludwig is one of the best Bengals beat writers in the game

that being said, he is dead wrong. he has covered the bengals for the Dayton Daily News for as long as I can remember. they just canned his ass along with Reds beat writter and Hal of Famer, Hal McCoy. it has nothing to do with his writing so much as the internet. nobody buys the newspaper anymore and these guys were high priced talent. I used to get the paper just for Chick and Hal. the best thing about Chick is he isn’t afraid to ask Marvin something he doesn’t want to be asked. Marvin has some jedi mind trick intimidation over the local media. if he wants to shut something down, compared to most other coaches around the league, he shuts it down. I can remember several times in a press conference Marvin saying to Chick “did the other guys (journalist) get you to ask that one?” I’ll give an example of what I mean. When Cory Dillion was traded Chick wrote about it long before anyone eles. I remember Hobson (Mike Brown’s personal cheerleader) had an article about how ESPN was way off and it would never happen. at the time I was pissed at Chick for printing those lies about my favorite player. well, we all know how that turned out. I never took Hobs serious again..or Lap for that matter. this guy is not always right, but he ain’t scarred. and he does know Bengals football. give him a chance.
