T.J. Who? Sleeping in Seattle

I know there are some of you that still love T.J. but I think he was one of the bigger babies in the locker room.  Personally im glad this cancer is gone, the team seems more like a "team" without him.  If anybody watched the Dallas Seattle game you saw T.J. drop a wide open TD pass and complain he was held, and you saw him argue with Hasslebeck, and miss several blocks because he didnt even try.  You wanted to keep this loser? He was a product of our system. Now he knows why nobody asks for his autograph, your the next Deion Branch, and the "rich" people saw it coming.  Besides , we have Caldwell and Coles who give 100% every play, run or pass, and you dont hear about them complaining about not getting enough passes their way. Maybe T.J. was Ocho's problem, T.J. leaves and Ocho is more of a team player, just a thought.

Nick brunker points out...

Houshmandzadeh, who signed a $40 million, five-year contract in the spring, has repeatedly proclaimed he wants the ball more in his first season with Seattle. Then Sunday the NFL's leading receiver over the last three seasons entering 2009 angrily gestured toward Hasselbeck to throw the ball with more loft immediately after he tried to zing a hard pass to the tightly guarded receiver while he was one-on-one with a defender near the goal line in the first quarter.

TJ said, "I was talking to nobody," Houshmandzadeh said, per the Tacoma News Tribune. "I was just talking out loud to anybody who wanted to listen...nobody in particular." Remember before the season, he guaranteed a top-five receiving season, a playoff berth, and a Pro Bowl. Hmmm.

It’s hard to miss the guy when we are playing so well. Our receivers have more than enough talent to fill the void that he left. And call it a hunch, but I expect that Coles is going to start playing better as the year goes on. I think we have to remember that the guy spent his entire career, (except for two years at Washington), with the Jets. I see him as a Hines Ward type player: somebody who can get you 4-8 catches a game, and isn’t afraid to block. I’m glad he’s on our team right now.

This is our year!

Pro bowl for TJ and Hasselbeck???

In the current issue of Sporting News, Houshmandzadeh shared some observations regarding his new team — and his old one — with Dennis Dillon.

“I just want to let everyone know that Matt Hasselbeck and I will be leading the Seahawks to the playoffs this season,” Houshmandzadeh proclaims. “And we’ll be going to the Pro Bowl as a tandem. We’re both going to have top five seasons: He’ll have a top five quarterback season, and I’ll have a top five receiving season. I’ll put up stats I’ve never had before yardswise because they’re allowing me to be a complete receiver.”

Top five receiving season? As Chad Ochocinco would say, “Child please.”

Even if Houshmandzadeh somehow accomplishes that goal, he serves no purpose by publicly declaring it now. Because it’ll only make him look foolish if he doesn’t deliver on his vow.

Then again, we’re not surprised by evidence suggesting T.J. doesn’t get it. Consider his explanation regarding life in Seattle: “It’s so different from Cincinnati, where I played for eight years. When you’d go out there, there were always people stopping you to take your picture or get your autograph. In Seattle, you can just go about your business. There are so many millionaires out there that they couldn’t care less who you are.”

Maybe the truth is that no one in Seattle is inclined to gush over Houshmandzadeh based on what he did as Ochocinco’s second fiddle, and that they want to see whether T.J. can get it done with the Seahawks.

Or maybe they’re simply no longer impressed by big-name receivers who seem to disappear once they suit up for the Seahawks.

If you look closer he does give them credit in the first sentence. Unfortunately he doesn’t seem to know how to make a blockquote to make it clear that the entire thing was a quote.

no, that credit was the credit that profootballtalk gave to its source, which was the sporting news. this is direct plagiarism.

Did we really need another Housh post?

Let’s forget about the guy already. We haven’t been too shabby without him and definitely aren’t missing his whining ass. Though I will always cherish the memory of him wiping his cleats with a terrible towel.

Never been a fan of Who'sYourMomma.

Persoanlly, he sealed his fate when he wiped his feet with the Towel in ’05. Silly T.J.

And Ocho Johnson…T.J. isn’t his problem. T.J. didn’t make the cape that said “Hall Of Fame ??” and drape it around his shoulders, or drop those passes, or worry about tweeting sweetly more than teaming sweetly. Chad OchoJohnson is Chad OchoJohnson’s problem. He’s happy to be the main cat in town now, and he knows the spotlight it all 100% his in the WR corps, whereas the last 2-3 years it seemed Who’seYourMomma was eclipsing ocho Johnson-Cinco.

Just my two centavos.

Gonna enjoy the game between you and the Purple Browns this week, the game of the day Sunday! :) Good luck!

Give T.J. a chance.

Every Bengals fan know T.J.‘s record as a reciever and he should be given a chance by Seattle to prove it. Just because he dosen’t make himself known like Ochocinco dosen’t mean he should be left out. Remeber Chad’s fits? Just let him prove himself.

You guys can credit

your good season this year to the departure of douche-manzada. When he left, he took the Terrible Towel curse with him, and look what it’s gotten Seattle… Their “Pro Bowl” QB with broken ribs, a 3-5 record, their best (only) LB on IR and their “savior” (Douche) having 417 receiving yards, 3 TD’s and 2 fumbles…

Seattle; where good receivers go to die (Deion Branch, Jerry Rice, and now, thankfully, Douche-manzada).
