Bengals Sweep AFC North
The Bengals won the battle of Ohio on Sunday by beating Cleveland 16-7. The Bengals swept the AFC North for the first time ever. Cincinnati didn’t play their best against the Browns but a win is a win. Larry Johnson, Carson Palmer, and defense all stood out to me on Sunday.
Marvin Lewis made a smart move playing Larry Johnson more. L. J. ran the ball great. He had 107 yards with only 22 carries and his average was 4.9 yards a carry. L. J. is really improving the Bengals offense while Cedric Benson is out with a hip problem.
Carson Palmer ran the offense pretty well. The tackle by Robert Gathers right before the half was really dirty. I was afraid that Palmer was hurt. It was a stupid move on Gathers’ part. All Palmer was doing was trying to run out-of-bounds to end the half. When Gathers horse collared Palmer the 15 yard penalty put Cincinnati in field goal range. Shayne Graham nailed his kick from 53 yards and put three more point on the board before the half.
Palmer moved the ball around well. But he really needs to step up and take control during these last few games. Palmer is a one of the top ten quarterbacks in the league and I want to see him dominate the game like I know he can.
Cincinnati’s defense played strong. But the defensive line has to put more pressure on the quarterback. The Bengals defensive backs really disrupted Brady Quinn and his wide receivers. The defense played a huge part in the win by not allowing the Browns to get into a groove the whole game.
The Bengals are in great shape thanks to a Steelers loss against the Ravens on Sunday night. With a record of 8-3, Cincinnati needs to beat the Chiefs, Lions, Chargers and Jets to have a chance for a bye in week one of the play-offs!
Go Bengals! Who Dey!

I'm guessing you mean Shaun Rodgers
Because I would hope Robert Geathers would never think of laying a finger on his own quarterback. haha.
Nooo.. It was Rogers
I’m 80% positive that I am 100% correct on this one.. Let’s ask Geoff Hobspin, our old reliable Mike Brown-noser over at bengals.com..
“The Bengals got a gift field goal with no time left and Graham can thank Browns nose tackle Shaun Rogers for giving him the chance to tie the longest field goal of his career, a 53-yarder after Rogers was called for dragging Palmer down out of the pocket with what looked to be a horse-collar takedown. The unsportsmanlike conduct penalty moved the ball to the Cincinnati 35 for Graham’s second field goal of the game and second from 50 or beyond this season on four tries.”
Thanks Geoff. By the way.. are you seriously suggesting that Robert Geathers, a BENGALS defender, was the one who committed this penalty. Please take a few moments and review our roster.. for the love of god! I am disappointed in both of you..

Geeee Whizzzzzzz!
Maybe he is trying to tell us something. Is there a conspiracy going on here?! Geathers is playing for the other team. How much are they paying him under the table? Somebody needs to check into this. Your job, come back and give us a full report.
your right! there is a conspiracy!
I went back and looked at the tape…you can clearly see Geathers on the Grassy Knoll and Carson’s head going back and to the left…back and to the left…back and to the left…back and to the left…back and to the left…back and to the left…
You are wrong...
it was Shawn Colvin.
She was going “at doot doot at doot doot
where is my carson palmer?
where is my Bengal gun?
Where is my lone ranger
where has all the offense go-oooone
at doot doot at doot doot”
I guess a winning record brings out freaks.
Dude, I thought you were more well-versed in sarcasm than that.

Shawn Colvin sang "Sunny Came Home" IIRC

Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes, married startastic Tom Cruise, who is a Scientologist. The Cleveland Browns are the unoffical NFL team for Scientology.
Conicidence? I THINK NOT!
why are the browns the unofficial team of scientology? do they take boats full of nubile young boys out on lake erie or something?
i'm going to go america all over your ass!

This guy needs to clean up his act.
It is one thing to get a name in your head and use it subconsciously. I have done it. But when someone point out your error and your reply is to “go look at the tape” – well….you have gone over the rainbow with Dorothy and Toto.
