Chad's New Name

Looks like Chad is going for a new name next year. Hachi Go

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Johnson-Ochocinco-quot-Hachi-Go-quot-Chad-p?urn=nfl,207862

According to someone who watches his broadcasts at UStream -- which I might do someday if my television is stolen, there are no books left in the world, the rest of the internet dies and a sniper is perched outside ready to kill me the second I leave my home -- Chad Ochocinco plans on changing his name again.

He made the announcement on Sunday morning before the game against the Lions. This time, the new name will be "Hachi Go," which is Japanese for "Eight Five." From Glenn S. Moore at The Dugout Sports Show:

SO...

would he be:

Chad Javon Esteban Johnson Ochocinco Hachi Go????

“Hachi Go”, that jersey would be a hit in Japan….another marketing scandal by Eight-Five…unreal.

We’d have a whole country of Bengal Fans, what team can say that? This is interesting….verrrrrrrrry interesting.

whats the big deal?

nobody says anything when the DE from the Giants changed his name to Osi Umenyoira. Which means 72 in elvish translation.

RE:

As long as he scores touchdowns, I’ll call him Martha if it makes it him happy.

Sounds cool to me. On a side note, anyone else sick of the idiots showing graphics that “ocho cinco” doesn’t mean “eighty five”? It’s not supposed to, dumbasses. Eight five, ocho cinco.

While the NFL may raise a stink about players legally changing their names, i think the commish would be cool with this. Great way for the league to get a foot in another market.

I already have a C.Johnson jersey so I didn’t want an ochocinco but a “hachi go” would be pretty bad ass.

I still call him Johnson I can't call a man eight five in spanish
