Larry Johnson and Cedric Benson to split carries?
Steve Wyche of NFL Network reported on NFL GameDay Morning that Benson and Larry Johnson will share carries today against the Minnesota Vikings.

But here’s hoping that neither team has any significant injuries to their injury reports when today’s game is all said and done.

Bengals offense

Appearing they could go with a very obsessive rushing offense, if they’re talking about sharing carries between Benson and LJ. Is the over under 40 rushes between the two?

watched some of the tape of vikings against Cards. Though i’d see them getting killed by spead-offence but alot of it was two TE formation. Made me wonder about the ability of our running game to get established as we like two TE sets etc.

Another thing to note is that Chilly is 1-6 in games after losing as a favourite

Harvin out is huge.

Nickel corner is the weak point of the defense, especially against teams with multiple deep threats.

If SIms can play at a near Peko level, we are in good shape.

rookie struggles

there is a sounds of the game on NFL.com and it has Rey getting alittle worried about his lack of big play. He’s just getting used to NFL life. Teams work you out, and you have to keep evolving.

Biggest concern

If I had one concern, it’s the Vikings pass rush. I’m not sure how well Whitworth can slow Allen. And I do have worries about Livings/Mathis at left guard holding one of the Williams brothers.

Blogger at CincyJungle.com -- SB Nation Cincinnati Bengals blog.

by Josh Kirkendall on Dec 13, 2009 12:29 PM EST reply actions

if it’s mathis, i’m far less concerned. he’s much better than livings, in my opinion (hell, just compare offensive stats from the games each has played in; i’m pretty sure mathis’ games will have better numbers).

by Raging Clue on Dec 13, 2009 12:31 PM EST up reply actions

well,

Kyle Cook did pretty well against the AFCN NT’s, and Bobbie Williams and Nate Livings are pretty tough in the trenches. You’d have to think Foschi/Coats will help doubleteam Allen.

Hope they hammer ’em

aye, there’s the rub.

by the by, i’m hoping to find out soon where i can get a link to pictures and/or video from the segway polo fun of last week. i have a few pictures on my phone (some really fuzzy ones of the players in the tunnel pregame), but i’m not savvy enough to know how to transfer them to here. i suspect there’s no rush on the video or pics from the segway people right now, because one of the players broke his shoulder and that’s been a bigger concern this week.

it was drawn up really well. All but Centre and RG played it as a passing play. Caught the D-line off guard.

by obc2 on Dec 13, 2009 2:26 PM EST reply actions

what pisses me off the most

NFL refs. Why do they feel they have to win this one for the vikes?

by pedro_oliveira on Dec 13, 2009 2:27 PM EST up reply actions

so they will score and get the ball back first right, son-of-a-bitch fuckin penalities

RE:

I’ve been saying that with broadcasts in general. They just don’t replay plays as frequently.

by jbs62 on Dec 13, 2009 2:33 PM EST up reply actions

We could use a big return

too bad we are allergic to good special team’s play

by pedro_oliveira on Dec 13, 2009 2:32 PM EST reply actions

we need to draft another KR just in case Scott isn’t around

by Sheffieldbengal on Dec 13, 2009 2:33 PM EST up reply actions

Take a deep shot downfield

Get a penalty, completion, or long interception…Don’t just take a knee marv

by whodeyla on Dec 13, 2009 2:33 PM EST reply actions

Like I have been saying

the D can’t do it all. they are tired

by WHYUS!! on Dec 13, 2009 2:33 PM EST reply actions

Quan's not going to break one

CB85......Collaros for Heisman

by TennBengalfan on Dec 13, 2009 2:35 PM EST reply actions

wow

That’s what we get for calling lame plays. This field goal will be the difference in the game

by whodeyla on Dec 13, 2009 2:35 PM EST reply actions

Calling the same play twice in a row

only works in Madden.

Hopefully they rule it an incomplete pass

by Danimal, Destroyer of Worlds on Dec 13, 2009 2:36 PM EST up reply actions

no catch

CB85......Collaros for Heisman

by TennBengalfan on Dec 13, 2009 2:35 PM EST reply actions

lol wow we left the bengals on the plane and let the bungles play in their place

by Sheffieldbengal on Dec 13, 2009 2:36 PM EST reply actions

Bratkowski sucks

throwing underneath crap like that plays with fire. If you are gonna do that, just take a damn knee. Throw the ball downfield if you are going to run a play in that situation. A TO is less damaging in that scenario.

CB85......Collaros for Heisman

what is with the underneath throws?

trying to sneak a play in? a draw play and a dumb terrible pass by palmer

by TarZander on Dec 13, 2009 2:39 PM EST reply actions

what do they say? If the score is close you let bad teams come back at the end and win it?

well we are playing like a bad team

by Sheffieldbengal on Dec 13, 2009 2:41 PM EST reply actions

I do agree on Dumbdorf

that Carson has to take responsibility for that throw to Leonard, it was a horrible decision.

by WHYUS!! on Dec 13, 2009 2:41 PM EST reply actions

agree

but terrible play call when we have two timeouts….take one!!!

CB85......Collaros for Heisman

by TennBengalfan on Dec 13, 2009 2:42 PM EST up reply actions

Carson looks like a QB drafted in the 3rd round

where’s the first overall pick we all thought we were getting?

"Nate Silver is a genius" .... BK

we need a partial refund on his wages

by Sheffieldbengal on Dec 13, 2009 2:42 PM EST up reply actions

he’s gone after that playoff game against Pitt

by pedro_oliveira on Dec 13, 2009 2:43 PM EST up reply actions

In defense of that last play call

I think the goal was to run down the clock while advancing the ball a few yards and run a hail mary (if Palmer got the protection) with a few seconds left.

by LooseCannon on Dec 13, 2009 2:42 PM EST reply actions

Bullshit

That’s a typical Bengals play that I’ve been watching for forty years.

You either commit to move the ball downfield and use your time outs or you take a knee and go in the locker room.
Why are NFL coaches so dumb. I’ll take an IQ challenge against any coach in the league!

Time to punch back bengals…..get back in this

3 yards and a pile of dust

Timeout called?

Sorry I lost the feed at the end – but did Marvin call a timeout after the “fumble” to give the refs time to think about it? Worked for the Saints last week.
