Steeler Nation mourns with you!
Atleast two times a year steeler nation loves to hate the bengals and their fans, and just as strong today steeler nation mourns the loss of such a talented player and person! This is not only a loss for the Cincy bengals but for football! Chris Henry was a player on the brink of greatness, whos time came too soon! Steeler Nation has the Cincy bengals and fans in all of our thoughts and prayers!!
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Cincy Jungle's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Cincy Jungle's writers or editors.

Thank you Pittsburgh. Bengals fans have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for the Steelers and Steeler Nation.
We are thankful that Bengal and Steeler fans alike can set the rivalry aside, and collectively admire and mourn the loss of a hero of the game that we love so much.
Thank you

Good on ya man.
We are thankful that Bengal and Steeler fans alike can set the rivalry aside, and collectively admire and mourn the loss of a hero of the game that we love so much.
I posted something like this on the main page thread, but I’m afraid it got lost in the many, many other commiseration posts there.

I echo the sentiments of Big DL

Thanks for your thoughts, Steelers.
It’s a tough time for us and such a shock. We’ll never know what Slim would have done in his career, but I believe everyone that knows his story was rooting for him to succeed and beat the odds regarding his off the field issues.
As Billy Joel said, “only the good die young”.
Word
Tragic loss. I hate to see someone’s life cut short. Steeler Nation mourns with you. But, in the end I still hate your franchise.
Bring a towel to the game. Black or gold or yellow. If you don't have one buy one, If you can't buy one, dye one!

Dude...
But, in the end I still hate your franchise.
So not the time or the place, man…

Yes. But on the other hand, I respect his honesty. I’d still despise your team if you lost a major player to tragedy as well. That wouldn’t stop me from sympathizing for your loss. I think you can do both at the same time.
Sure
absolutely you can do both at the same time, but this is your tragedy, your player. Alot of people feel the same way, myself included, but this is not the time or the place to voice them.
We should be remembering, and celebrating his life, not saying that we hate each others franchises.
Just sayin’…

Wow
Its a sport bro..A GAME..A young man lossed his life..How dare you. Your a disgrace to fans everywhere..
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
While I understand your rancor
I think it’s over the top to call him a disgrace to fans everywhere. He may be a little misguided, but still a fan of the Steelers, who hate the Bengals. But like I said, not the time or place for him to say that.
Everyone just settle down, and remember a kid who was on the right track for success, cut down in the prime of his life. We aren’t at some hillbilly funeral somewhere, we are fans of the game, even though not of the same team. It’s ALL football.

Wow SoCal bro
Have a little respect man. I’m not trying to bust your chops but man that’s not cool.
I really believe you don’t think it’s a big deal and I really believe you didn’t mean anything by it but it was not appropriate for the situation.
Like I said I’m not trying to be a PC police because I don’t play well with PC, but I’m speaking as an internet acquaintance for lack of a better term.
