Chad: I will beat Shawne Merriman's head in

Back in June, Chad Ochocinco kicked off Tweet Wars against Shawne Merriman. And Chad is back in form (on Wednesday), throwing a salvo at Merriman.

“I will beat Shawne's head in, right now,” he said. “It's not even fun. This is not in fun. This is personal. Bring it on. It is what it is. I think he might be one of the only people I don't really get along with. I want to fight. I'm not sure how to get the fight on without him suing me.”

OK, this isn't the same Chad. His pissivity level is reaching six, a level in which only ancient puzzles, dark force sermons and Balrog fire whips could open the door to.

I don't know. You just have somebody that, like, you have the itch, you just want to fight? That's what it's come to. I just want to fight. I think back when we played last time,” he continued. “I can't remember. I don't know. You know what, I think I copied his dance after I scored, and I think it pissed him off.”

Merriman blew off Chad. When asked if he thinks that Chad is serious, Merriman said, "I haven’t been called out by too many guys. This is a different situation for me. I can tell you one thing. It’s not going to be a joke. And that’s when I see him Sunday."

Uh-oh. Now, this will be interesting. We know Chad. We know he's a jokester. This isn't the same thing. And we know Chad will take one for the team. Can you say, "personal foul, defense, number 56"... It should be noted that all of this probably has changed since Henry's passing Thursday. But if we know Chad, he'll use it. And Chad will dominate.

Chad Johnson is a over paid wee wee

I won’t even dignify his antics by calling him Ocho

And maybe I’m crazy, but I’m of the opinion that Chad Johnson would be well served to spend less time being an agitator and all around idiot, and more time focussing on catching the balss that are thrown to him.

There is nothing more ridiculous than some fool doing a hootchie-kootchie dance and prancing around in sombreros to the detrement of his team mates.

If you want to see how it’s done, look at a guy like Marvin Harrison, or Jerry Rice. Unlike CJ, they actually let their play do the talking, rather than acting like some strutting ass… and guess what? Both of them are absolutely, positively locks in Canton.

Chad Johnson? I very seriously doubt it. That is unless there’s a Hall of Fame for imbeciles. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

....

Chads just having fun Ive never thought bad about how he acts and thats coming from a Chiefs fan. If he scores a TD against us in a few weeks and wants to dance around in a sombrero more power to him its his money not mine.

He should shoot somebody? Like Steve Martin used to?

All football players are over paid, but Chad has earned his money. Chad has set several NFL records, has been to 5 pro bowls, been all pro three times, holds most Bengals recieving catagories all time, and is 34th in all time recieving yards, which is ahead of anyone drafted this decade.

He may not be a lock for the Hall, but given 2,000 more yards he will be.

How is it "to the detriment of his teammates"?

God forbid somebody have fun at a football game. Chad is an entertaining, talented, and hardworking player.

Ocho

Doesn’t have any problem catching passes. He’s a great player and is a light-hearted guy who likes to have fun. He reminds us all that football is just a game – something that I think you need to remember Mr. Bobo. Especially after the tragic loss of Chris Henry, I think we all need to be reminded football is something we do for fun, and not something that we need to take seriously.

This is our year!

Marvin Harrison

I never cared for him. He wouldn’t catch a ball over the middle and take a hit. If he caught the ball, his eyes were looking out of bounds. Straight up scared of any contact. Chad talks a lot, but he also backs it up. He can do whatever he wants as long as it’s legal and is producing.

I'm torn

I don’t know if I want Chad to do a tribute to Chris Henry or a personalized taunt towards Shawne Merriman when he scores. Ideally, he would score at least two TDs so he can do both.

I’ll laugh if the Ocho finds a way to get professional attention whore Tila Tequila on the sideline to help him.

RE:

In truth, I think Chad is going to honor Henry now. I don’t know if he could give a damn about Merriman at this point.

I suspect that

Chad is going to play in Henry’s jersey unless the league says it will penalize or suspend him. I hope that it will be a morale boost for the team.

They’ve already said he can’t. I suspect another tear-off appliqué will be his work-around.

It depends

If its just a fine, I think he will. NFL network said he will wear 15.

haha

that would be priceless I hope he destroys Merriman

I was thinking the same Kirk

personal foul #56. Remember how the penalty on Ray Lewis kept a drive going? Some hockey players work this tactic with great benefit, talk and agitate to draw a penalty. You just have to be tough enough to take the hit. And Ocho can take a hit.

I agree.

Talking crap is the fastest and easiest way to get into peoples heads. Some athletes are much more driven when they spit shit while they play and often it destroys your opponents ability to focus on the game. I believe they call this a “two-fer”.
