Tailgate Open Thread: Detroit Lions (2-9) at Cincinnati Bengals (8-3)

It's Sunday morning. The Bengals will host the Detroit Lions. Since we had about six billion pregame comments last week before the game against the Browns, we've decided to start to create a virtual tailgate party by way of an open thread. Talk about the Bengals, today's NFL action and what happened yesterday in college football.

yeah. my buddy owns the segway store in the gateway district, and they’ve been in the works to do this for a few weeks. he called my ol’ lady this morning to ask us to participate, because some people canceled on him.

i only had my cell phone available for my own pictures, so i’ll see if they even translate and if i can post them here; somebody was apparently taking better pictures and video. it was easily the coolest day of my life, even though for watching the game, i prefer my canopy seats where i can tell what’s going on.

but being right behind the players and marvin as they exited the tunnel for introductions damn near made me piss myself with glee.

Who Dey!

Think I broke the top knuckle on my right ring finger yesterday. Anyone ever had a similar injury? If so, how long will it take to heal up?

i did on my thumb

it took about a month before it felt 100%
It felt better within a few days, but everytime i bumped it, it felt like i was back to day 1

Quick question

How bad does Jerome Simpson suck? I’m stunned Chase Coffman can’t get activated and he’s a rookie 4th round pick. Simpson is a 2nd year second rounder.

The thing is

I wanted to believe in Jerome Simpson, the same way I always seem to fall for these combine guys. I mean the dude almost broad jumped 12 feet. Great speed, killer athleticism. He must just be a complete dummy as far as remembering routes or something. I mean I just don’t know about it. I want to see him play, but geez something is seriously wrong with him if h hasnt played yet.
