With Weiss Coming Back To The NFL do the Bengals Make Him The OC?
via i.a.cnn.net
While reading an article with Charlie Weis saying that he will be returning to the NFL, I began to ponder if Marvin Lewis will consider firing Bob Bratkowski and bringing in the offensive guru Charlie Weis. When I googled Charlie Weiss and Bengals a suprise tweet came across my way. Former Bengal John Thorton retweeted: "Classic! RT @jamesmthomson : Keep an eye out for Charlie Weis slipping his resume under Marvin's door." This got me thinking do the Bengals pull another great move signing Weis most likely at a lower price due to his ND contract? Do you think Weis's offensive strategy would be better for this team or for the worse? Although I hate Bratkowski I'd have to say I like how our running attack has developed. So the question is should Marvin Lewis pursue Weis as a replacement for Bratkowski? Would this be a good or bad move for the Bengals?

I'd like to see it.
Brat is just too conservative. It’s like I read somewhere on here before, “It’s like having a double barrel shotgun and just loading one barrel.” We’ve got one of the premeire QB’s in the League, let’s let the dogs hunt.
"Shiny. Let's be bad guys."

if by dogs hunting you mean..
“let Carson throw the ball into the Lions secondary all day”
then I might agree. He was premiere before he became frail..

is it just me,or am i missing something?-lol, while i don`t like brat`s play calling, have you seen notre dame`s offense? weis is a ineffective blowhard
an ineffective blowhard
Yeah, I’m not a fan of Brat, but I’ll take him over Weis any day.

i’ve seen notre dame’s offense. it’s inventive and effective. it made jimmy clausen a likely top-10 pick and extremely efficient quarterback. their non-existent defense and terrible head-coaching decisions lost them their games. weis is still an excellent offensive coordinator.
i'm going to go america all over your ass!
off topic, but I'm going there
should we get Claussen if he goes late? Who knows if a couple years of backup under Palmer couldn’t do wonders?
I guess a winning record brings out freaks.
carson’s got 6 to 8 productive years left in him (a franchise quarterback, especially a pocket passer like carson, can easily last until age 38 and play at a reasonably high level); i doubt clausen would be willing to wait that long. given the right opportunity, clausen could come in and start as a rookie, possibly having a flacco-esque rookie year.

OC
Weis is crap as a head coach, sure, but he is a good OC.
Is Brat on the last year of his deal?, since you know Mike Brown is not going to eat the rest of contract if he is not.
Brat seems like the kid..
who comes to class having not done his homework. He had his days, I think he’s just been here too long. I cannot wait to see what a different OC can do with our boys.
