The JC Penny / Van Heusen Hall of Fame Fan's Choice Poll is back
This is a sponsored post by JC Penney/Van Heusen

In late October, we encouraged you to vote in the first ever Pro Football Hall of Fame Fan's Choice Poll. Over 225,000 voted. I hope you did all you could for Bengals players. Although the fan vote doesn't actually apply to the official Hall of Fame vote, the point in the Fan's Choice Poll is a way for you to get out and support the Bengals players you think should be selected. You know, like Ken Anderson, or Ken Riley among others.
In the end, that didn't work. However, of the fan's choice results, 11 of the semi-finalists selected by the Board of Selectors actually weren't chosen by the fans. They are: quarterbacks Randall Cunningham, Jim Plunkett, Phil Simms and Joe Theismann, defensive back Steve Atwater, tight end Todd Christensen, defensive lineman Ed “Too Tall” Jones, wide receiver Sterling Sharpe, head coach Tom Flores, game official Jim Tunney, and athletic trainer Otho Davis.
It's amazing that the Board of Selectors picked 11 people that the fans didn't agree with. But that's the best part about the voting process. Making your voice heard.
You, as football fans, are back in the game. It's your turn to make your voice heard again. Choose among the 25 semi-finalists for the players you believe should be finalists for the 2010 class in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Go here and vote.

for the record,
I don’t have a problem with talking about whether simpson or coffman should play. not my j-o-b to tell anyone what to discuss. my guff was with bengalboy’s argument about ML not being able to evaluate talent and that therefore purify sucks and coffman and simpson are Rice and Taylor, if someone would just give them a chance.
I guess a winning record brings out freaks.
That's what I'm talking about
you have to give chances or you can’t tell who or what they can actually do. It’s up to management to put these guys in and it’s up to the individual to show his worth.
when has simpson not been given a chance? he gets chances every day in practice to show what he can do; he had all last season as well as all of this offseason to show the coaches what he can contribute. he had the entire time that he was on the active roster while purify was on the practice squad. i won’t argue that coffman shouldn’t be in ahead of coats, but i’ve never liked coats; i don’t understand this love for simpson when he doesn’t back any of it up with performance.
i'm going to go america all over your ass!
we just want to see what he can and cnnot do.
Is he getting paid? Yes he is. Will he cause any harm to the offense or team? No he wouldn’t. Not any more than Purify does or any none contributing player on the active O roster. It’s time to see what he can do with Carson throwing to him. If you know anything about practices, most unactive players don’t hardly get reps with the first team at all. Just a small amount. And for Purify, they thought he would be a better blocker than Simpson and they are right about that. That is why they used Purify, for the run game and not for the passing game. I really think we are going to have to step up our passing game from here on out. All I’m saying is try Simpson, what could it hurt? NOTHING
Preseason does that.
Still, they are getting paid a nice check. Put them in and get some mileage on them tires.
Bengals released that Safety Brannon Condren from P-squad
to make room for?
