Perhaps he's trying to channel DMC of Run-DMC.
Or perhaps he choose his ocular accessories to attract T.J. back to the Bengals fold. Something like, "If you stay here with me in Cincy, I'll buy you some matching Cazals." Bonus: The screengrab came from Chad's NFL Network interview during the week before the Super Bowl. Notice they still have his last name listed as "Johnson" instead of that "Ocho Cinco" stuff.
