Revamped Running Game?
Over the last 2 years I've heard Marvin talk about needing to run the ball better. This off-season, they even said how dramatic the change would be going from a pass first team to one that relies on the run more than ever. So what happened? I understand not paying T.J. Larry Fitzgerald money but why bring in another older receiver to tie up the cap space. Are they that disapointed with last years rookies? It's clear that they are going to use 2 high picks on Tackle and Center which is great but what about running back. Is their idea of a revamped running game using Chris Perry and DeDe Dorsy? Maybe this is their way of telling us they are using a top pick on a back.

Hope Not
I don’t see why they would spend top ten money on an unworthy RB class. No RB in this year’s draft class is an Adrian Peterson. The Bengals do need to start up front with the offensive line. They should wait until the third round and possible get Ian Johnson from Boise State. Could be a stretch but never know.
What about the possibility of getting Brian Robiskie? He should fit into the No. 2 reciver but then again we do have plenty of depth in that area….

Agreed
I agree. But that bring another question. If the top 2 tackles are gone at #6, what do we do? Are there really any other players that are worth #6 money? Is it possible to trade down to the end of the first round and pick up McCoy from Pitt and then use the second round pick for a Center? I saw that they are interested in the Tackle from Oregon which would be a good 3rd round pick?

you don’t have to drop all the way down to the bottom of the round to get good picks in return, we are at #6 don’t forget and that pick would cost alot in terms of draftpicks.

Lost all confidence
Yesterday completly boggled my mind enough to think that nothing the Bengals do anymore will remotely surprise me. At #6 CinBengal08 is right that no RB is good enough to be chosen that high, theres enough good OT’s that really taking any of them isn’t going to hurt. At #38 I think you take the best available RB, if Moreno, Wells or McCoy are still there i think there 1-2-3, after that its a crapshoot
Shone Greene, Rashard Jennings and Ian Johnson all had good combines but #38 might be too high for them

2nd round
The 6th pick is a tough one but in my opinion the 2nd round pick is a no brainer. They have to get one of the top 3 centers with that pick.

So we stick with DeDe Dorsey and Chris Perry
What we have isn’t good enough unfortunately. We are worse off in the run game then we were last year

3rd round
I imagine the 3rd is the earliest we could take a RB if they do in fact use the 1st for a LT and 2nd for a C. Perry has to go no matter what. How much would Deuce McCallister (sp) cost us? Could we use him with DeDe or a rookie? I’ve heard he is one of the best at picking up blitzes and the tough yards.

Benson re-signs
This changes a few things, but i’d rather the Bengals focus #38 at RB rather then C. C’s usually drop and you can pick up a good one at round 3 and 4. At #38 you can get a standout back

i wouldnt mind getting McCoy at 38 i think he and Beson would go well together he reminds me of a slower Chris Johnson from last years draft
