Mock Draft for Bengals rounds 1-4
Based on other teams needs and luck and also the Bengals management not being completely helpless the first 4 rounds to go as follows for the Bengals.
1, Eugene Monroe OT Virginia

2, Alex Mack C Cal
3. Shone Greene RB Iowa

4. Daniel Ellerbe MLB Georgia

Would you be happy with this? As far as I’m concerned this would be the best draft in the Marvin Lewis era, maybe for the Bengals ever!
What would your dream round 1-4 picks be for the Bengals this year?

I think that’s a good list, especially the positions that we should address, almost in that order. At least in my mind.

Shonn Greene right now is a 3rd to 4th round prospect. He has a lot of questions about his maturity, work ethic, weight problems and he has the 2nd shortest hands for a RB.
Eugene Monroe could be going 4th overall to Seattle. I think there is no doubt in my mind that he is our guy. I believe if he is off the board, look for Everette Brown DE/LB tweener. Because Andre Smith/Michael Oher is too much of a reach at 6.
Alex Mack is going to go right before we pick sadly.

If Mack is gone
Expect them to sign Max Unger. He can play over the o-line and thats the type of player Lewis likes.

Also
Ellerbe is going to be a sleeper pick. He had a down year last year because he was hurt. But his junior year guy was great. Hopefully he will be in stripes and we can FINALLY have a solid MLB.

The Bengals Mock Draft 1-4
I really like the 1st two picks, an OT and then a good Center! Not sure about Shonn Greene. Ellerbe would be a smart pick in the 4th round!

Shonn Greene is a beast
Dude single handily kicked penn states ass last year. he would be really good sharing carries with Benson

Do they really want to go that route though? Two power backs? Is This going to be an earth wind and fire situation in which we have Benson/Greene and either Perry or Johnson as our speed catch back? I say look out for IAN JOHNSON out of Boise State. He is this years Corey Lynch pick.

Ian Johnson
So I would like if they picked Ian Johnson in round 3 if he is there. I would actually like that over Shonn Greene. Ian Johnson is good and I think he would be really good in the NFL just like Steve Slaton except Ian Johnson has some power.

The Draft
i think we should base the draft on how well we do in the free agent market………we have a ton of talent on offense thats ready to go to war with any defense any giving day with palmer leading the way…my thing is that we still lack that one or two key defensive players that we really need mainly on the line, now if sims, shirley, peko can hold up in the middle and lets say robert geathers come back to the 10 plus sack player that we missed when he got resigned then the line would be pretty good………but to be honest we need to play more physical and with a lot of heart…i like benson hes a strong runner i believe that he can overacheive with our team based on the weapons that we have, coles is a good fit too,i thought that was a great move by getting him…..simpson and caldwell still have room for improvement they can learn from chad and coles….but im not ready to say lets go this way or that way in the draft until after the free agent period is done and dealt

OT depth in this year’s draft is amazing, grab an impact DT or DE in round one.

We could definintly improve the defensive line in the first round and get our O-Line needs in the second and third rounds
