Hierarchy of Garbage Disposal

Has anyone noticed how the Bengals have been getting all of the Bear's leftovers?

Cedric Benson (cut by the Bears)

Tank Johnson (cut by the Bears)

Craig Krenzel (cut by the Bears)

There were even discussions of us picking up Rex Grossman as a backup QB.

I guess its okay though.  We are not at the bottom of the hierarchy.  We give our leftovers to the Lions i.e. Rudi Johnson, Jon Kitna

Not sure but there may be more examples

Grossman?

I haven’t heard that, and I hope I never do again. I said before the draft that year that someone would take him in the first round and regret it. He’s sloppy and overconfident. He thinks he’s still in college where you can just throw it past the defenders and make some big plays. He’ll never be anything in the NFL, especially a backup quarterback. For some sad-sack team desperate for a starter, maybe you take a chance on a sloppy gunslinger type, but in a backup quarterback you just want someone who will play smart and not cost you the game.

Krenzel

I watched him doing pre-game warm ups with the other QB’s a few years ago. His warm up throws of about 15 yards were a good 3-4 yards off mark. Not game throws with pressure in his face. I’m talking standing there in shorts during pre-game throws. My wife could have made better passes than that.
