Jon Kitna is a freakin
LIGER
That thought just occurred to me. I'm a little slow sometimes, and I've had my fill of the Ochocinco, Andre the Agent Killer, Bengals from OZ news.
I'm also contemplating drinking the Kool Aid. In fact, I have my R.Johnson jersey on at work today, ready to take on all comers (aka Steelers Fans).
What's the point of this post? Well, I think that first, as Bengals fans we have had to put up with a lot of BS over the past 20 years since being a playoff team. We put up with the Bungles jabs, and have to grit our teeth everytime we even SEE a Steelers fan. Just seeing that logo makes me angry.
Secondly, The preseason is upon us. And this preseason is different. We actually have reasons to have hope.
Don't get too worked up by the press. Don't feel you have to comment on every stupid tired Yahoo "article" about the Bengals. Seriously... F-em! Let it go.
I think it's good that we will be on Hard Knocks. It will keep Ocho occupied. He's already thinking about what he's going to say and how he's going to act. The more he does that the less he'll be in the way. I hope. The plus side is that maybe all of the OZ prison jokes that have started will get old for everyone and they'll watch the show and realize this team is pissed and they are going to go out and want to dispel the Bungles attitude once and for all.
And if they don't realize it then, They just might take notice during the season opener.
Lastly, that season opener is a loooong way away. Lighten up, Relax! Have some fun. I'd be happy with 8-8. Estatic with 10 - 6. Cloud 9 with a playoff game.
Thoughts?

What does Kitna
have to do with that post?

I think
He was implying that Jon Kitna is the offspring of a tiger and a lion, known as a LIGER, (which he headed his post with), having been both a Bengal and a Lion:

still not sure what it had to do with the post itself.

Doesn't have anything to do with the overall post. Just an observation.
But he is a Liger.

Regarding the non-Kitna part of the post
I agree. You have to ignore so-called analists and their opinions. Trust me. The Lions just went through the absolute worst season in NFL history. Fans, for the most part, tend to view every move the team makes with cautious optimism. (you can’t do worse than 0-16) Still, at every corner, there are sportswriters that constantly heap mounds of negativity into the fans’ collective psyche. Recently, Kevin Smith made a comment that he probably shouldn’t have made. It drew harsh criticism from the media. I, personally, think it’s great that a player has a positive attitude. What does the media expect a player to say? “Yeah. We’re going to have a piss-poor season this year so don’t bother hoping.” Apart from the Lions, I have 3 or 4 teams that I support. The Bengals are one of them. I would hope that every player on the Bengals’ roster believes that they can win a Super Bowl. A player without that kind of attitude is already set up for failure.
