Ravens to give Kelley Washington a tryout this weekend

During this coming weekend, the Baltimore Ravens will give Kelley Washington a tryout, writes Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun. Earlier in the calendar year, the Patriots released Washington. A few days later, the former Bengals wide receiver expressed interest in returning to Cincinnati, and the Bengals appeared warming to the decision.
So why are we talking about an old Bengals wide receiver that's trying out for a division rival? Well, really, just so I have an excuse to post this -- the best touchdown dance in the history of humanity.

Wow...
I’d managed to block that one out of my memory…until now. Thanks.
Seems to me, though, that every time Washington touched the ball, he was a threat to take it to the stripes. Any time I ever checked his stats (which I am officially too lazy to do while I’m writing this) it seemed that he was scoring about every 4th or 5th time that he touched the ball. I wish Cincinnati would give him a chance before Mario “I came out a year early so I could be picked one spot away from Mr. Irrelevant!” Urrutia* or others who likely will never see the field.
*Sorry…as a Louisville native, I have to flog Urrutia for his poor decision whenever the opportunity presents itself.
I always liked Washington
Although we do have somewhat of a log jam at WR right now I think hes definitely an NFL caliber WR. He probably should start on some teams, which i why i hope Baltimore doesn’t get him.
True…why doesn’t he come down to Tennessee, where he went to college? They need WRs something fierce…

Kelley Washington had all the potential in the world coming out of college and realized none of it. He’s never shown himself to be an NFL calibre receiver. The only reason he’s still in the league is because he can play STs. The Bengals and Patriots couldn’t turn him into a WR, and neither can the Ravens. By the way, is there any player other than Kelley who performed a celebratory dance after catching a pass for a first down?
