Rod Hood in for Visit

http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/05/06/rod-hood-to-visit-the-bengals/

Veteran cornerback Rod Hood, cut recently by the Cardinals, has commenced the process of looking for a new team.

Per a league source, Hood will soon be visiting the Bengals.

Hood also is drawing interest from a couple of other teams.

Hood, 27, has spent the last two seasons with the Cardinals after playing four years in Philly.  He started 16 regular-season games in 2007 and 14 in 2008.

Kirkendall Note: Hood has 11 career interceptions, eight of which came in two seasons and has started 30 of 31 games he's played in two seasons with the Cardinals. Revenge of the Birds called Hood's release in Arizona a shocker. "The Cardinals had a poor secondary last year and Hood was one of the more solid players

This could only help us. I would feel much better if or when Joseph get hurt.

Never

can have to many cornerbacks. Especially ones with solid playing experience like Hood.

It's still a good season if we go 2-14 and beat the Steelers twice.

unless David jones really takes the next step

Not sure about Hood

But could we trade for the cheerleader in that photo?

Actually Hood would be a nice pick up, probably better than Williams.

Hood is smart, experienced, and competitive. He plays hard and has great leadership qualities. I’m sad to see him leave Arizona, but now that he’s gone I hope he signs with Cincinnati.

I doubt it since Williams signed

but in that situation Hall, Joseph, hood,Jones maybe castille( or cut)/Possibly Trent(P.S.) make the roster. Pope cut. Rico P.S.

Any Updates?

An experienced third cornerback is a necessaty and could well be the last puzzle piece this team needs to set the table for a run this year. If not Hood, then we still need someone. He seems like a very good fit for our needs.
