Is Chad's Threat to Tweet making him a Twit; was not signing Graham to a long-term deal that big of a deal?
There does come a point that the patient fan, who just leaves well enough alone with Chad Johnson, finally says, "alright, let's move on." The whole Tweeting and Twittering loyalty he showed this offseason was cute and fun. Now?
The “new, totally focused” Chad Johnson — Ochocinco, if you must — says he’s going to Tweet during Bengals games no matter what the NFL says.
Now he's going to push it. We're closing in on training camp. Priorities start to shift. Fans start gravitating towards realities after playing with fictions where all fans think their team will win the Super Bowl. If there's a hint that Johnson's focus whither, it'll be like before. Some fans have already lost any willingness to accept Johnson on their team. Others recognize that he gives the team a better chance for the offense to move the ball. But if that focus is gone, if he's fighting a trivial battle with the NFL about Twittering, then he'll be right back where he started in 2008 in the fan's eye.
The biggest question is how well this rebuilt offensive line will produce.
I haven't always been convinced that being unable to sign Justin Smith to a long-term deal while he was franchised wasn't the best scenario for the Bengals. After last year, I realized the same thing about Stacy Andrews. So based on trends, is it really a failure that the Bengals and place kicker Shayne Graham didn't come to an agreement? If the Bengals decide to franchise him next season, then the cost would likely increase to about $3 million, writes Geoff Hobson.
The Bengals do have an "entertaining mix of characters".

You absolutely do not sign a kicker long term
1. They tend to flame out quick
2. When they don’t flame out, when they do lose it, it goes quick.
Just look at Mike Vanderjacthdadoierhthasdjfsdkjft. He went from being the best kicker in the game to being out of the NFL within 3 years.
If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis.
As Josh's resident Twitter reporter...
…what I’m thinking is COC will Tweet during halftime, unless, of course, he wants to pay the fine for bringing a BlackBerry to the sidelines.
You know
They (the NFL) could make this work. Have a laptop on the sidelines with an NFL official. Let ’em tweet then. And you have to pay the league for each tweet.
First Tweet – $10,000
Second Tweet – $25,000
Third Tweet – $100,000
Fourth Tweet – Percentage of the Federal deficit
There. Everyone is happy. Players can Tweet. The league makes money. That’s CBA negotation at its finest. You heard it here, on CJ.com first.

it is surprising how easy it is..
to rag on someone who:
-owns the Bengals receiving record (for a single season)
-led the AFC for 4 years in receiving yards
-went to 5 straight pro-bowls
-is a 3-time all-pro
-owns the Bengals record for most receiving yards in a game (260 yds)
-most receiving yards for a Bengals WR
-most TD’s for a Bengals WR
-6 over 1,000 yard seasons
-and is tied for most TD’s in a single game at 3
please be ready for 09’ Ocho…
