Bengals sell practice jersey space in a deal with SpongeTech Delivery Systems
The Cincinnati Enquirer beat writer, Joe Reedy, tweets that the Bengals signed a "practice jersey deal with SpongeTech Delivery Systems". SpongeTech Delivery Systems "is a company which designs, produces, and markets unique lines of reusable cleaning products for Car Care, Child Care, Home Care and Pet Care usages." The Bengals are far from the only team signing sponsorship deals on practice jerseys. This year, the NFL started allowing teams to sell sponsorship patches, which can't be larger than 3 1/2 by 4 1/2.
Teams like the Colts, Jets, Bears, Giants, Rams and Texans have already signed deals to have sponsors on a small patch on their practice jerseys. Teams like the Lions and Broncos have reportedly looked into it -- and may already have their deals.
SpongeTech Delivery Systems released a press release:
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SpongeTech® Delivery Systems, Inc. The Smarter Sponge™, (OTCBB: SPNG - News), announced today a strategic sponsorship with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Under this agreement, SpongeTech® will become an official sponsor of the team as well as receive exclusive branding on the team’s practice jersey. This placement will be visible on local and national television outlets.
This is the first deal for SpongeTech® in the National Football League. “We are excited to partner with the Cincinnati Bengals for the next two seasons. The Bengals fan base is one of the most passionate in the sport and this program will continue to build our brand and open new retail relationships in the Mid West," stated Steven Moskowitz, COO of SpongeTech® Delivery Systems, Inc.

All For It
Mike Brown is widely considered one of the worst amongst all NFL owners when it comes to marketing his team’s brand and uncovering new and unique revenue streams.
He constantly gripes and uses excuses about him having to compete in a small market.
Good for him in exercising this outlet. If you’re going to compete with the Cowboys, Eagles, Redskins, etc on the field, then you’re going to have to compete with them off the field as well. The more he utilizes these unique endeavors, the less he can use excuses about not having enough jack to bring in high priced talent.
What am I thinking though? As if he has any incentive whatsoever to try and win football games.

You assume
the TEAM will benifit from his crass commercialism.
Spongetech huh?
Better than:
Mydol
Anusol
Mrs Buttersworth
and Valtrex
LOL...yeah...
the first thing I thought of was Elaine Benes musing about whether or not her boyfriend was “spongeworthy.”
