Against Cincinnati, Steve McNair was dominant
The tragedy of Steve McNair's death is hitting the football world hard. From former coaches, players and fans, everyone is sitting in shock about the breaking news that the former Ravens and Titans quarterback was found dead on Saturday. His play on the field was something else. He was the reason that I knew a college named Alcorn State existed, finishing with 6,000 yards passing and rushing his senior year and third in the Heisman Trophy voting -- playing for a division 1-AA school. I'll never forget the game where McNair completed a pass to Kevin Dyson that fell one-yard short of tying Super Bowl XXXIV as time expired. Jimmy remembers the man; so do Ravens fans. We'll hear and read many stories about McNair the man and the player as the days move on.
Football is something I knew better, so I'll stick with what I know best. McNair often dominated the Bengals earlier in his career, knocking off eight straight wins from 1997 to the turn of the century. When signed with the Ravens, McNair's career against Cincinnati started evening out; the Bengals won three of four matchups. In 17 career games, McNair recorded 21 touchdowns passing against only seven picks. Here's his game logs against the Bengals.

Amen
THis is a human tragedy beyond the fact McNair was one hack of a football player. RIP Air McNair, the football world is less without you.
