Stokley's Touchdown, Via Tecmo

Definitions of catharsis:
1. A natural or artificial purgation of any passage, as of the mouth, bowels, etc.

2. The process of relieving an abnormal excitement by reëstablishing the association of the emotion with the memory or idea of the event that first caused it, and of eliminating it by complete expression (called the abreaction). (via)

It helps to laugh... I suppose, anyway.

In a sick, bittersweet kind of way.

lol. Great find there IFChris. That was by far the best football video game I’ve ever played.

This is our year!

Does anyone else imagine Gus Johnson screaming play-by-play while playing Madden?

i was actually thinking of tecmo bowl when the play happened; just a memory of being in my friend’s basement, watching a similar play while he kept shouting “they will catch him! they will catch him!”

Gawd! I loved Techmo bowl...

Fulcher was a monster on defense…and that dump off screen to Jimmy Brooks was a TD everytime…

That was cool how you did that

This is off the subject, but I have Bernard Scott on my fantasy team and was thinking of dropping him for Hank Baskett. Do you think Bernard will ever overcome Cedric’s spot? Does he even look good to you guys?

bernard’s great, and there’s no reason to think he won’t be the rb of the future here, but for now he’s not a smart fantasy pickup.
