Antwan Odom: AFC Defensive Player of the Week
In a move that should surprise absolutely no one who watched the Bengals beat the Packers last Sunday, Antwan Odom -- he of the five sacks -- has been named the AFC's Defensive Player of the Week. Thanks in large part to Odom's Wisconsin haul, he now has seven sacks in just two games.
According to PFT, Odom's five sacks represents the most by player in one game since Osi Umenyiora had six against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007.

i read the PFT article and consensus in their comments section favors that Elvis Dumervil got hosed on this honor.
i agree too. this comment by SATAN567 sums it up pretty well.
Elvis Dumervil beating Joe Thomas for four sacks was more impressive. The Packers o-line is a bunch of chumps and Joe Thomas was a starting left tackle in the Pro Bowl, making it a superior performance by Elvis.
Odom was against a backup for much of the game so I suppose it was not as impressive from a talent standpoint. still, 5 sacks is better than 4 so fuck Elvis Dumervil.
guess they don’t understand that the Packers are a better team than the Browns. just sayin…

Just because Joe Thomas is better means nothing
The Browns quarterback is also awful, as is the rest of their offensive line, and their “genius” coach, and their defense.
Plus, who knows how many of those for Dumervil actually came when he was matched up with Thomas?
Yeah, I mean, Dumervil is a LB
Meaning he was probably moving around, and not matching up with Thomas.
I memory serves me
Dummervil was shut out when we played them and Odom got two. Odom should be doubled now at least for a while and that will open things up for Geathers, Tank and Peko. Let people say what they want. If we can win Sunday everybody will be saying something different. Man am I the only one who wants this win on Sunday more than any win since the 05 playoff game? Unless there is a big turnaround up there in Cleveland they just might go winless so who cares what they think.

I forgot
I think Odom was the NFL D player of the week as well.
