i watched that game last night
Our team now is Sooooooo much better than that team.
Caleb Miller, Sam Adams, Bryan robinson, Kelley Washington, landon Johnson. They all couldnt cut it for us. And Tory James was at the end of his career. Kevin Keasvirharn couldnt make it outside of cincy, Rashad Jeanty was starting and that was his first year playing LB. Dealtha Oneal took too many chances, madieu williams wasnt physical at all.
But we did have big Willie, Reggie, a young Levi, Stienbach, Rudi, TJ, and Chris Henry tore it up.
The Bengals won that game 28-17. going 3-0

The Team needs to believe they can win! They also need to figure out that the game is 60 minutes long, not 55 minutes!

i’d have to say a huge difference with our 09 team compared to that 06 team has to be the LB’s that help clean up on run defense. Game after game, PIT just runs it down our throats. i’m not so sure they’ll be able to do that this year. If Willie or Mendy or Moore happen to get through the line of scrimmage or get to the outside…..Keith and Rey do a fabulous job keeping everything in front of ’em.
Have yall seen the new Roy Williams clip on youtube??? search “roy williams bengals” and there’s a new vid with him knocking the crap out of Knowshon Moreno trying to turn the corner. Moreno loses the football and hobbles off the field…fabulous. Bonus, search “rey maualuga sacks aaron rodgers”, another enjoyable vid.

I think one thing that should be remembered is that the pass rush should be able to put a lot of pressure on Big Ben, they also need to make sure that they wrap him up when they make contact. I’ve lived in NE Ohio for the past ~10 years so I’ve had to witness numerous Steelers games just to be able to watch some decent football. I have no idea how many times I watched as that oversized man-child shake off a weak tackle that should have been a sack and run out of the pocket with the speed of a drunken moose and get a first down.
It’s really just a small detail, but still an important one I think.

First off….Cincy is and has been a terrible team. Last I checked we won past three years.
you went to the playoffs in 05. thats sad. really sad. pathetic even. its terribly awful to even think of a rivalry when you havn’t even made it to the playoffs in 4 years.

now for this sunday….it seems like we’ll get the first game where your team actually has something to offer.

And don’t diss Cincinnati. It’s a town with a rich history, a lot like Pittsburgh. It has the national underground railroad museum, one of the best zoos in the country, and some of the most loyal football fans you will find.
It’s not hard to root for a team that’s almost always a frotrunner. Although, I bet you weren’t so high on your steelers during the kordell Stewart era.
I hope it’s a good game and wish you luck, but you did yourself no justice with your post.

clean up our city? maybe our streets are dirty….but thats because we spend more money on our education and financial system than wonderful Cincinnati.
a team thats a frontrunner? i was high on the steelers since 1995 when they went to the superbowl and i learned what football was really about. since then I’ve watched every steelers game or listened on the radio or followed it online.
but im pretty sure that cincy has mostly a bunch of bandwagon members.

what sense would it have made for any bengals fan to talk smack last year? all that shows is that we’re smart enough to realize the fact that our team isn’t necessarily one to brag about. you’re correct about fair-weather fans, and cincy has plenty, just as any other team does, which you’ll discover the next time the steelers lose two in a row (i’ve witnessed the manner in which steelers fans discuss their team after a couple losses, and it sounds just like bengals fans, or raiders fans, or panthers fans, etc.).
two or three posters is still much fewer than the number of broncos fans that were here talking smack in week 1, so you’ll get no pity from me on that front.

Economy
I don’t want to live in a City ruled by big buisness anyway. Shittsburg is made on US steel and the City will die when technology gives us a cheaper more durable replacement. What makes this City great is the People, Not the most friendly people in the world but good in thier own way and willing to defend our City and its people from ignorant rappers and steeler clad assholes. I see more steelers fans trying to come bask in the glory of Cincinnati than any other type of vagrants, there must be something here you like.
And it seems that surag238 is willing to admit that we are a better team after we win on sunday.

pittsburgh has one of the foremost medical research institutes in UPMC. as big as harvard and hopkins. what does cincy have?
pittsburgh has one of the best engineering, robotics, and computer centers in the WORLD…with carnegie mellon…what does cincy have? card manufacturing?
pittsburgh has the largest pharamceutical industry after boston….BAYOR AND GLAXOSMITHKLINE.
