We need a new WR coach

I have heard everybody asking for a new OC and QB coach, and I agree. But I also think the 2010 Bengals need a new WR coach. When Hue Jackson was the WR coach, Kevin Walter and TJ Houshmanzadeh turned into good WR's, Chad took his game to an Elite Level, and Chris Henry played every game.

Since Jackson left, Chad went awol in 2008 (He was great this year), TJ turned on the city of Cincinnati, Henry went downhill (he did make a comeback), Walter went to the Texans, Kelley Washington did nothing here, made plays for New England on special teams and then became a solid WR for Baltimore, and most importantly Jerome Simpson is on the verge on Bust.

Right now the Bengals need to find a way to spark the passing game. There are many ways to do this, find a creative offensive coordinator, Develope a pass catching TE, Continuity on the Offensive line, a Deep threat at WR, and a RB that can catch and make plays out of the backfield. Hopefully the Bengals can sign Hue Jackson as the OC and find a new QB and WR coach to help Develope Jerome Simpson, and any new WR that we draft.

ok, you sold me. fire that SOB too.

Hue is a great position coach. I don’t know why he can’t get a another chance at OC. He is making Flaco look good, and I don’t think he’s that good.

He could here if Marvin and Mike had brains instead of bean curd in their heads.

I’ll be on my death bed many years from now asking the nurse why the Bengals blew it in their window of opportunity for greatness.

marvin wants hue, as evidenced by the fact that he tried to bring him here last year. bratkowski is clearly mikey’s boy. i don’t know why you keep blaming marvin for his continued employment.

i'm going to go america all over your ass!

He said he wanted to bring him back but didn’t have a job for him. That doesn’t necessarily mean he wanted him as OC. Oh it probably does, but no guarantee.

So while you’re probably right that the primary blame goes to Mikey, Marvin HAS at least occasionally been able to talk Mikey into doing something smart for a change. So until Marvin comes up with an argument good enough to get Mikey to do what he should have done years ago, he still gets at least partial blame.

We need a new WR Coach

Not a new coah, just a shot in the ARM. Peraps Plaxico Burress on Work Release. Someone else thats good enough to draw double coverage.

THIS

I was thinking about this on the way home from work today. With all the griping about Bratkowski (and Marvin, etc) why hasn’t the WR coach been called upon to defend his work? Aside from Carson’s weak lobs, who has underachieved on the Bengals roster more? No one has been a disappointment like the WR corps.

exactly

and Bengals.com talked today about if QB coach Ken Zampese goes to the Bears. Then WR coach Mike Sheppard will become the QB coach. So we would get our wish for a new QB and WR coach!
