PrintEven though we claimed that this is the best Bengals rookie class during the Marvin Lewis era, the one rookie that made the NFL's All-Rookie team wasn't actually drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals -- he was an undrafted college free agent. Joe Reedy writes that Quan Cosby was named to the All-Rookie team as a punt returner.
Cosby was the team's primary punt returner, averaging 11.9 yards-per-return -- most in the franchise since 1984. He finished the season fifth in the NFL and third in the AFC. Cosby also set a franchise record, recording 474 yards on punt return, shattering Mike Martin's 1984 record of 376 yards.

This player was one of the best surprises of the year. We need someone who doesn’t drop punts.
