After the Browns game, during which Carson Palmer had a decent stat line in what anyone's eyes could say was a marginal performance against a bad team, there was a fan post entitled something like "Carson's critics can suck it."
Well?
Carson absolutely gave away the game against Tampa. He gave it away himself. Two interceptions that led to 10 points to surrender a seven-point lead are inexcusable. And don't tell me the last one wasn't his fault. The receiver tipped it in order to keep the Tampa defender from picking it, so it went into a different guy's hands instead.
Carson is not a very good quarterback. No, we don't have any better options right now, but this game was absolute proof that he is not the quarterback of the future in Cincinnati. He is definitively the quarterback of the past. His touchdowns were to wide open receivers, and his three interceptions were just bad. Time to move on.
