Bengals To Sign Rico Murray From The Practice Squad

With Johnathan Joseph on the mend, Leon Hall, Chinedum Ndukwe and Morgan Trent missing two practices this week and Adam Jones going on Injured Reserve, some could say that our secondary is in trouble. They could. However, according to Geoff Hobson, Hall, Trent and Ndukwe are back on the field in some capacity.

According to Joe Reedy, Rico Murray will be signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster on Friday to bolster the secondary. Along with being a likely special teams player, Murray played some cornerback during the preseason. He finished the preseason with 11 tackles and three on special teams. Murray recorded two tackles in four regular season games in 2009.

It'll be nice to see him get a shot.

Might as well let these young guys play at this point, right?

Maybe all these secondary (especially Safety) injuries are a blessing in disguise. We need to see our future Safeties on the field at some point.

Win a ring without the king! Cavs=2011 champs?

Smart move.

It’s for the best to get him in there with Pac going down.

This is the guy with that crazy punt return during the playoff game last year, right?

Yep. That's why i like this move

He’s a smart player.

I’d still have preferred pressley over foschi.

RIP Slim.

I like Murray...

but if I had my druthers I would’ve liked them get Pressley and Briscoe back with the roster spots.

Isn't Murray...

The one who got completely scorched in coverage in one of the preseason games by fellow 2nd stringers?

RE:

I actually thought the same thing. I looked through my notes — yes, I actually have notes. It was Hebert. Like several times.
